The Yakuza are needed for modern day Kapan, mostly because now it is more business oriented, also should the government abuse it's power, the yakuza is a strong enough force to male them get in line. It's true now the yakuza deal in quite a lot of illegal and immoral business, but it's not their fault people actually Buy child porn, or sleep with hookers.

@RemyZAngel i completely agree with you, unfortunately in todays human life, people have needs for drugs and prostitutes and even chil porn for some lowlifes, but lets say yakuza dont offer them, who is going to offer them? propably some disorganized crime group that are not as organized as the yakuza and propably much more evil. i think the people of japan should have the mexican drug cartels there for a few weeks and then they will actually want the yakuza to stay!!! yakuza should exist!

@kftkft This is my exact point you got darker organizations like the Zeta's on Mexico who's illegal activities are far more brazen, and for more dangerous than what any of the Yakuza do, im not saying the Yakuza are heroes or anything like that, but they are not a group we should say"Those guys are the bad guys!", cuz in the end when government tries to overpass it's boundaries, these Organizations Will take over, and I would greatly prefer to follow a Yakuza, over a street thug any day! :)

@RemyZAngel exactly i agree with that too! today yakuza are the most organized and disciplined organized crime syndicate in the whole world!!! you can actually go talk to them in their offices, i too am not calling them heroes, but like you i would also follow a yakuza boss anyday than some thug or some corrupt politician!

Your examples are stupid, its the same as saying regular people (non Yakuza) kill innocent people when they have accidents in cars. Child porn is engaged by political leaders and so called honorable figure heads in society, just look at the pope who protects ministers who engage in child porn acts at the church.
