This is perhaps the worst auto review I've ever witnessed. The commentator's monotone delivery and factual inaccuracies are utterly annoying. As someone who intends on acquiring a C63 in the near future, I'm glad that my opinion of the car was formed long before sitting through this drivel. Even Ben Stein couldn't be this uninteresting. My annoyance meter went past 10 when it became apparent that this reviewer uses stock videography behind his reviews. I'm doubtful he has ever driven this car.
Some corrections: 1) There is no "air-mattic sport suspension" on any C63. So, you cannot "fine tune...the ride." For 2009, there was a P30 option which utilized 20% stiffer springs than a regular C63. Of note, MB/AMG discontinued the use of the tighter springs for MY2010 and beyond because of complaints of too harsh of a ride from the P30 equipped cars.
And yes, a stock C63 is as quick/fast as a stock C6 Corvette.
If you have 80 grand to blow on a car you want to drive around for pure thrills and excitement, you buy this. No M3 and especially no plastic Corvette that still smells like glue and oil from the factory
That is a lovely car. I saw one drive past on the street yesterday and I couldn't help but smile when I heard that engine (it wasn't even accelarating hard either). It's nice to hear that sound in amongst a bunch of LTI taxis and Transit vans as well as crappy boyracer cars. The styling is very subtle and I think that's why it's hard to get your head around the fact that such a compact saloon has a 6.2 V8. The new turbo V8 will be a big step back aurally. Damn CO2 regulations!!
I admit not the best performance sedan, BUT CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST ENGINES EVER MADE. THAT AMG 6.2 litre is really insane... they built it with insanity, Loved it !

Very nice. Why doesn´t the C63 get the same amount of HP as at least the E63, which it used to get in the earlier models? If it would get the same HP as the SLS 63 ( which after all has the same CC) it would probably beat the SL65.
The commentator here obviously loves this car and thus... "exaggerates" shall we say.

@hazemvirus You get the clueless comment of the week award. Corvettes are made from FIBERGLASS, aluminum monocoque frame (Z06), and Carbon fiber as well. They also are impressively safe, front & side curtain airbags, etc.
Also, the transaxle and transmission is located in the back (not plastic) which gives them the perfect 50/50 weight balance...
The real reason for the weight difference is 1) much less sound insultation 2) much less leather, 3) structure (no back seats) and luxury.

Because 6.3 liter was a magic number back in the 70's when Mercedes introduced their 300 SE 6.3. Also, the S 600 has a 5.5 liter engine, in fact most current engines don't match their type designations, because of history or marketing.
I own a 2009 one, but its maximum speed is limited to around 155 mph for North America. I'd have preferred a 6- or 7-speed manual for more control at lower speeds. I removed all the insignia... no point in attracting attention! Amazing car in heavy traffic, as one is able to move past slower vehicles in a second.
Actually I just purchased one and they do have a performance package that allows the limited speed to be extended to the 170 range. also adds higher performance brakes and suspension...look it up
C63 will replace my too big for nothing RS6 and after many test drive no BMW for me I still want a car not a 2 door race car. I also want a reliable car so Mercedes by a mile.

Because 6.3 liter was a magic number back in the 70's when Mercedes introduced their 300 SE 6.3. Also, the S 600 has a 5.5 liter engine, in fact most current engines don't match their type designations, because of history or marketing.

Merc Website "description" says 6.3L.
But in Merc's Website under "Technical data", it states 6208cc.
How does 6208cc translate to 6.3L ?

I own a 2009 one, but its maximum speed is limited to around 155 mph for North America. I'd have preferred a 6- or 7-speed manual for more control at lower speeds. I removed all the insignia... no point in attracting attention! Amazing car in heavy traffic, as one is able to move past slower vehicles in a second.

Actually I just purchased one and they do have a performance package that allows the limited speed to be extended to the 170 range. also adds higher performance brakes and suspension...look it up

C63 will replace my too big for nothing RS6 and after many test drive no BMW for me I still want a car not a 2 door race car. I also want a reliable car so Mercedes by a mile.
