It's still FWD, if i was to change the drive wheels it'd be a rear wheel drive only [not 4x4] and i'd have the actuall YB pinto cosworth engine put in.
As for doing it, i wouldnt mess about with differnt floor pans, i'd chop out the tunnel and re weld a new one in, the only problem would be [i beleive] strengtherning chassis for the torque to the rear.
It's something i am interested in though. Just too much work for now. It's good as it is.

You shouldn't burn out street tires for very long or you will have less traction. This guy most likely spun them too much and that's why he chirped them again when he took off.

Street tires get their highest stickiest at a lower temperature. Past this temperature they begin to get slicker as you have moved past the softening and into the melting/falling-apart stage of heating.
