This is different from Saving Private Ryan. In Saving Private Ryan, it was someone who actually had permission to go home, because the general was nice enough to bring him home to confort his mother, and half the movie wasn't about Ryan, it was about the people saving him. But however, this movie seems to deliver the same type of feeling SPR did.
