Mozart was pure genious. his Requiem is, in my opinion, his master piece.

I love Requiem also and it would have been his masterpiece if he lived to finish it. There has been too much input by others to call it his masterpiece. In fact only the opening was fully completed. Franz Sussmayer finished and wrote a good part of the Requiem. His completion has been controversial over the years. So why not The Mass in C Minor or the opera Don Giovanni for his masterpiece?

in effetti è un po' velocino ma non è detto che sia stato un "errore", ma secondo me è stata una scelta ponderata del direttore.... per quanto mi riguarda sono d'accordo con te sul fatto che "perde" una parte della sua religiosità, ma la grandezza compositiva non può venir toccata in quanto non ha lasciato precise direttive sulla velocità, quindi (tenendo in considerazione l'eccentricità del compositore) mozart potrebbe averlo pensato anche più veloce di così.
