The Party for the Animals is the worlds first animal party ever. They fight the fight for animal rights from within the political system. It is a major improvement over fighting for animal rights from the outside.

Both fights are important from within and from the outside but the balance should be 50/50 so there is a lot of work to be done in every country that needs a similar political stream.

Animals need our help, speciesism needs to be rooted out of our societies.

Thanks! I showed my dear mum this - she now has a higher view of these 'radical vegans and vegetarians', just because of the presentation and the fact that Marianne Thiemen was wearing a suit without dreadlocks and a moustache. I think our movement under rates appearance as a tool for change very severely, even though, yes, it is a shallow concept.

I don't know if the Party For The Animals are contesting the European Elections but wish them good luck if they are. I can't vote for them as I live in England but I can vote for Animals Count as they're standing in my area and I am seriously considering doing so. I do have a couple of reservations about it and generally wouldn't consider voting for a one issue party(even if it is an issue I strongly agree with) but there's a good chance I will.

Thanks to The Party For The Animals a lot has improved in Holland and it is a very progressive country in some ways though still much has to be done. But we know no calfs in boxes, no chickens in small, iron cages, no castration of pigs without anestheasia and our 2 largest supermarkets don't even sell meat from castrated pigs anymore. Castrating is wrong just because the farmers don't like the smell of uncastrated pigs and have to set them in larger cages.

This time I'm gonna vote on them.
