  • wait so he hits it twice in the first trick? isn't that illegal?

  • Squash is a great sport. But it sucks for TV viewing. Tennis is a great sport and is great for TV viewing.

  • anybody sees the ball?

  • Jonathan really was the wizard, this is such genius, I love it Barb Cooper Racketdrills

  • i wish players would stop stealing my shots and then posting it on youtube

  • played with martin heath last week, some player!

  • Heath plays two corkscrews in a row. The spin on the ball makes it come off perpendicular to the side wall. The first one ends up back right, and Power boasts it back front left. Heath then plays the second corkscrew with his backhand, so it ends up back left, but this time isn't as deep. Power has room to take a full swing under the ball as it crosses in front of him, then plays the drop once its fully crossed to his forehand.

  • To all of you who are confused if he did hit it twice or if it came off the back wall... watch closely at 0:15 and 0:24 (replay from front).

At 0:15, the ball never came upto back wall.

At 0:24, the ball can be clearly seen passing in front of power.

It was actually a ball coming towards him at angle which could be played with backhand at a lower height, which he tried to, but let it past in his front gaining height and played forehand as the ball moved to his right side.

  • surely thats just cheating

  • too fit hahaha i'll try that

  • some things you cannot teach,Power and the Khans make me want to be a better player, there is no better feeling than when you pull off a shot that completely leaves your opponent for dead,Squash, what a game!

  • was the shot at 0:12 a normal boast or did he hit both the side and back wall? it looked odd

  • that was insane

  • can u block people?

  • @gongxia649 no, it would be a stroke and you would lose the point.

  • just go to squashmadeeasy(dot)blogspot(dot)com/

  • Power is sick. He kinda reminds me of John McEnroe. ol Johnny Mac!

  • Hes so epic.

  • i can`t see the ball

  • @JackTheStripper14 full screen it

  • so, what to you say to a 14 year old who wants to learn squash , weight:80 kg

    Height:5'7 , fitness: not bad

  • @fadyadelnageeb its awesome... i started when i was 7... havent looked back since. (lots of training tho if you wanna be in tourneys)

  • You Gotta love the wizard !!

  • I've watched the first shot so many times trying to work out what actually happened!

I like the way JP walks about after it trying to hold back a big cheesy smile.

  • He's my coach! No jokes

  • i once tripped Jonathon powers at lunch back in middle school lolz good days...

  • He can hit any shot from anywhere, and he has the wrist of a god!

  • I agree about his wrist, very similar to Laver's wrist.

  • Even the magician Fabrice Santoro can't come up with a shot as magical as that one.

  • The John McEnroe of squash.

  • John come back to pei we miss you.

    A fan admiring from afar

  • unique

  • that first shot...when he started to walk you could see "yes i am so much better than you" in his eyes....wow amazing shots

  • Holly fok,

the 1e trik is great 2night I'll try it,

  • I don't understand what he did in the first one

  • 0:26 i never knew piers morgan commentated squash games

  • holy!

  • My squash coach is friends with power and I actually played with him.

  • you are awesome

  • thanks...

  • that's mental - Power's shots and the Willstrop gets...oh, my.

  • power's a legend

  • incredible, an absolutely superb deceptive shot! ''the wizard'' in deed!

  • HE IS THE MODERN WIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True genius. I am not a squash player - don't get mad, I am a tennis player - but what Power can do on a squash court is absolutely amazing. He is truly up there with Gretzky and Mike Weir as one of the great Canadian athletes.

  • Power is the McEnroe of Squash.

  • I don't understand the 1st one....looks like he hit it twice oO??

  • nah, he swung the racquet under the ball on the backhand side (without hitting the ball), and then tapped it with the forehand. he did all of this obviously after it had bounced off the back wall, so the ball was going forward

  • I have never seen Mac, Fed, Pete, Andre or Laver come up with anything that amazing.

  • in the first one he swings the racket under the ball so martin heath already thinks power played the shot and then power hits the bal into the front-left corner:)

  • yeah i agree, looks like he did?

  • WHATAAA BADMANNN!

  • Awesome. I managed to pull off a shot like his first trick shot in training the other week, no way would I try it in competition tho. Hit a sweet trickle boast as well that bamboozled my opponent, gotta love pulling out the unexpected sometimes.

Me and my buds play round robin and whoever hits the best shot of the night has their drinks bought for them in the bar after, sometimes if the shot is that good there's a bigger reward. I gave my buddies a facial after the trickle boast.

  • ROFL.

    the first one was..

    *speechless*

  • cool

  • smooooooove... you got to love it.

  • I wounder if Jonathon thought of playing that trick shot before the match or before the game or just as the ball came to him??

  • If he hit it twice Heath would have saw it and, made a comment to the ref, use your head, he didn't hit it twice!

  • dude he lost the point thats the point! he was playing a trick shot which is just pure skill

  • That's the natural trajectory of the ball when it hits where floor and wall meet, sap1972 is right

  • this is fu***ing hard !!!!!!

  • No, first swing is under the ball then he hits it.

  • nice vid. im sure he had many more tricks after this

  • wah. godly technique. very few people can play such style nowsaday.

  • no de doesnt his techniwue is awful he is famous for his awful backhand style, its just his racket skill

  • i dont get it, looked like he hit it twice?

  • amazing move

  • ccracckk

  • How long was Jonathan on the first place in Squash?

  • 14 months

  • power is crazy but hes a genius

  • he didnt hit it twice...

  • Your'e right....he swung underneath the ball and then played a drop...

  • But didn't Jonathon POwer hit like the ball twice....

Is that even allowed but i gotta admit that was one beautiful shot!

  • i have videos of Jonathon destroying Jansher in '97!

  • what hardness do these guys usually use?

  • double yellow

  • Jansher was the best ever. But Powers has the best "hands" in squash. Just look at some of the videos of his training. Jansher's domination for over 10 years cannot be compared too.

  • Jansher's domination can be compared!: JAHANGIR!! who won over 500 consecutive professional matches & TEN consecutive British Open's AND is the youngest player ever to win the World Open @ age 17!!

  • he's way more exciting than Power, and if u dont find that exciting, then it's because u don't seem to able to comprehend the skill it takes to hurl people all over the court as consistently as he did and oh yeah, he owned Power as well and even Power himself says, he is the greatest to ever play the game, so take ur canadian anguish elsewhere and u may wanna keep ur stupid comments there as well

  • i've heard jonathan talk about jansher - he hardly thinks he was the best to ever play the game. as far as owning jonathan, i've only seen a couple of matches between them and jonathan was just coming up the rankings at the time - like 1997 in india - jansher squeaks it out in 5 by blocking and desperately trying to slow things down. brutal squash. i'm not a canadian squash fan, i'm a squash fan...good riddance to jansher.

  • jansher was the best

  • the best of the best

  • jansher isn't even the best player ever from pakistan.

  • He was coming up the rankings for sure but used to beat Peter pretty frequently who was busy taking over from Jansher and there r many matches in which Jansher got him 3-0 and u don't wanna start about talking about 'blocking' when it comes to Jonathon, he thought it was his right to block and take as much space as possible, so pls don't go there specially in reference to him... & read his interviews where he states that Jansher was the greatest to ever play the game... it's actually on record..

  • /watch?v=kKmcZfIqq8Q

    ^^ funny squash video!!

  • JP is a master and a monster of squash

  • JP is gd but look up jansher khan he really is the master of squash

  • haha he owned him

  • It is a very cool fake. Tough to execute, try it yourself. I have drilled it over and over on court and can't really hone it well enough to bother with it in a match.

  • Jp is amazing!!!

  • moreeeeeeeee

  • more from this pls

  • This is a squash art

  • most amazing move ever the one against heath

  • sick
