I could hear her as Butterfly - that's exciting! I just hopes that she understands she is strictly a lyric instrument and that attempting bel canto hasn't been beneficial to her singing where if she is scheduled to sing Verdi's Leonare and Wagner's Elsa... her voice is too small for those roles.

Piuttosto citiamo una Tebaldi, una Caballé, una Freni, una Gencer, da cui la Netrebko dovrebbe imparare un po’ di cosucce...

This kind of repertoire is usually sung by a dramatic or spinto, but many other lighter voices or lyric voices bring different interpretations. It doesn`t matter what actually the soprano or the public want, because once you can`t sing a particular role over the orchestra because of the density of the writting, you will kill your voice. That`s why Fach is important. Not for these aria/open air mic-ed concerts.
Why does it matter if she's fat or skinny? It's he voice that matters. If you have a problem with someone then you keep moving and not worry about them. Stop judging people for things that don't effect you.

She's the best since Maria Callas. I was disappointed that she Anna didn't sing with Rolando. It would've made it that much more special. This is a spectacular and timeless evening that will live on long after we're all gone.
I think nshe should study the role and, in a year or two, sing Cio-Cio San and Tosca! I think she would be wonderful! Or at least make recordings of them... If Gheorghiu did, so can she! And I consider her voice a bit fuller and bigger than Signora Gheorghiu's.

Yo admiro realmente a Ana Netrebko, no tanto por su voz, que no es tan espectacular como otras voces superdotadas, pero tiene una capacidad interpretativa y técnica NOTABLE y ADMIRABLE!! la lírica es mucho más que voces super portentosas, y ella lo muestra. es un ejemplo.
la voce è bella davvero, ancora morbida; solo che a tratti ha qualche passaggio a vuoto, soprattutto quando scende. Ma ha un bel accento, l'acuto non risulta mai troppo forzato e spinto, ha naturalezza e bel legato. Però quest'aria non fa per lei, ci vuole più corpo nel registro centrale. Il neo più grosso è il problema con il fiato, un pò corto e con la ripresa lenta; speriamo migliori, le sue esecuzioni ne gioverebbero moltissimo.
La Netrebko ha una voce come tante altre, altro che bella come la Tebaldi (che tra l'altro nei centro-gravi aveva tutt'altra consistenza). Estensione come la Callas? Ma se in Lucia e puritani ha evitato tutte le puntature e le poche che ha fatto le sono pure venute male! E' un normalissimo soprano lirico come se ne trovano molte, a volte anche con un timbro migliore...
Non mi risulta che i soprani lirici affrontino Lucia di Lammermoor e Anna lo ha fatto. E anche bene. Per quanto riguarda i centri hai ragione. Ma sono sicuro che piano piano Anna riuscirà a dare spessore anche lì. Se ci riuscirà sarà quasi perfetta. E poi, in aggiunta, Anna sul palco ha una personalità magnetica e una simpatia e naturalezza che possono vantare in pochissime.
Vorrei capire che cos'hanno da ridire quei pochi stolti che hanno messo "non mi piace". Anna è l'unica diva dei nostri giorni. Con una voce bella come la Tebaldi e un'estensione paragonabile alla Callas. Che cosa volete di più da un soprano?

Carissimo, la Callas negli anni d’oro prendeva Mi sovracuti stabili e intonati e scendeva di petto fino al Fa# grave proiettando bene ogni singola nota, la Netrebko spesso strilla e cala non appena si avvicina alle note acute e si intuba appena sfiora le note gravi, nell’Anna Bolena i passaggi gravi quasi quasi li sospirava, è fortunata se arriva a due ottave! Non diciamo eresie, sia per voce sia per tecnica sono due mondi separati.
