If i had not seen the original Knight Rider i would have liked this, but after seeing the series this could have been soooo much better than it was, let's hope the new movie they are making lives up to the origional series and leaves this movie in the scrapheap where it belongs.

Infortunately they are using a Ford Mustang for kitt in the movie so I will not watch it after the first episode I am a fan of the original show I also like that they aren't using William Daniels as the voice for KITT

The car was originally supposed to be the Pontiac banshee concept car, pontiac had agreed to lend Universal the car for filming the movie but later pulled out. The movie team quickly came up with the dodge stealth modified to resemble the Pontiac Banshee.

Uh actually, no it wasn't. The 4th generation Trans Am that came out in 1993 was based off of Pontiac's Banshee prototype. Pontiac wouldn't let the tv network use the Banshee, so they attempted to build their own off a modified Dodge Stealth platform, which was front wheel drive. All Trans Ams have been rear wheel drive, and should always be!

That movie was terrible. Glen Larson was not involved, if David H. and Edward Mulhare shouldn't have had anything to do with it.

I liked it. So do a lot of people/ REAL fans who move on , the only part I hated was Mulhare's character killed off. KR 2000 did more to honour the original pilot than a lot of the series did. Of course the FAKE-UNOBJECTIVE-BIASED FANS don't know any better

Technically, it's still KITT. As Larson says in the Pilot Commentary on the DVD, The Knight 2000 is the car. The Knight Industries Two Thousand is the computer[cpu] INSIDE the car. So the /car/ is the Knight 4000 but in reality, it's KITT.
