I've been using Mnemosyne these last 2-3 months, but I probably wasn't using it correctly: it was very effective with single numbers, but it wasn't with too long texts (5-6 lines: I was not trying to memorize it all, but just the concepts).
What do you think would it be the maximum of information used in a single card of a SR program?
I now started using a Mind Mapping softare too (Visual Understanding Environment), do you think there's a way to merge these two methods?
The last thing you said is good. I have experimented that when you equalize the taxation of the body and the mind your learning is boosted. So, think two hours of study and two hours of work afterward doing manual labor outside or with windows open and fresh air is a great way to retain information.
The interesting thing about spaced repetition is it shows you how much you really remember. I think people routinely come out of classes feeling like they know more than they do. You get a false sense of confidence, and you stop reviewing it.
I think spaced repetition should only be used for the most critical aspects of a subject, otherwise, you get bogged down with reviews. Even then, you start getting bored of the information, and it even feels like a monotonous job.
This is good, can I just trust that it makes a lot of sense and I can just use studyarcade confidently knowing that all this theory is applied toward me learning? I keep getting repeating facts, i want to add new facts faster, especially when i download a small dataset, I want them all activated right away.
