JP Morgan held 7.1 Billion dollars in the first three quarters this year for bonuses and yet they reduced there work force by 4% just in the 3rd quarter. We know where there priorities are, bonuses for CEO's and Executives, and they say tax breaks for corporations are going to create jobs. Article I, Section 5, Clause 1 of the Constitution says that a MAJORITY of the House constitutes a quorum to do business. Last time I checked, there are 50 more GOP seats than there are democrat seats in the House. The democrats can't even conduct business without a good number of the idiot teabaggers present. So, why aren't the GOP in the Capitol right now doing the jobs they were elected to do?

@casluth - You have not been paying attention to the news. The measure passed before Christmas was for a TWO-MONTH extension, not one year. House Reps were holding up passage of that, even with the urging of Senate Reps who supported it. It took a meeting of the leaders between the two houses to even get that passed. From the beginning, the Reps having been trying to make Obama fail, but yet they only have clowns as candidates for President on their side of the aisle.

@casluth I think you are behind on what is happening. First: this is a pro forma session. Second, they are holding them to try to not allow the President for placing posts. The GOP have stopped nearly every nomination since he b/c Pres. So the DOJ department has few lawyers/staff and the courts are having a hard time getting judges for Fed. Dist Courts. And that extension that you brought up was for 2 mo ext.
