  • I'm guessing regular water won't help and would probably mess it up right?

  • @elvebrothergenju Yes, we suggest to use our cleaning kit. We do have stock. Please visit our website. Thanks for viewing!

  • @elvebrothergenju just buy vodka, higher proof the better

I used 70% absinthe (because I had some in my house) with my n64 games, vodka would not have all the excess stuff thought

  • wow your games are spotless compared to mine

  • @imalwaysfallen Using the cleaning kit. It really works well. Thanks for viewing!

  • @nintendorepair yea i got it. it works wonders! thanks!

  • will this fix slowdown? or is that usually a problem in the system?

  • @reedfe What do you mean slowdown? When cleaning your games using our cleaning kit it helps your games to work properly again.

  • @nintendorepair like on Super smash bros. with 4 players the framerate will slowdown significantly. I've also noticed it on other games too.

  • I've always been paranoid about any solution touching the motherboard. After watching this video, I assume that I was just worrying too much.

  • @TRexTurtle We are glad to help. Thanks for viewing!

  • @MokotoFuchikoma Please make sure that you clean it very well. It really removes all the dirt oxidation and corrosion that causes your games to not work. 100% guaranteed.

  • How do you remove scratches

  • @FrozenCandy2 Unfortunately, Its impossible to remove scratches. We have a cleaning kit that removes all the dirt and grime. You can try that if you want.

  • Now what if I open the cartridge up and the motherboard has a crack in it? Can I de-solder the 2 chips on the motherboard and re-solder them onto another for another less desireable game?

  • I am a new customer and I am hoping to buy something after christmas, I was wondering how do you clean and repair n64 system pins and pinholder (which connects the 2 pin setups together from the cartridge and game system)

  • Comment removed

  • I have a Mario 64 cartridge that wont let me erase the savegames, the contacts are clean.

Any chance it's a battery issue? I don't know how Mario 64 saves the games but sounds to me it uses flash memory and that's the problem.

    What do you think?

  • so if you have that green crap on the contacts, will this work just as well or....?

  • @hawkeyespackersfan Yes, the cleaning kit will remove all dirt and grime. It is important to get your games totally clean in order for them to play properly.

  • @nintendorepair thanks for the help

  • can you guys show me how to change a battery on a N64 game like in zelda ocarina of time please

  • @basketballSZnaruto Unfortunately, We do not have a video yet in replacing batteries. All you need is a Nintendo 3.8mm Gamebit Security Tool to open up your N64 Games. You can also send it on our store for battery replacement.

  • @nintendorepair when I was little, I got frustrated with a game, slammed it on the floor, and playing it now it keeps freezing right after the n64 logo pops up whenever i try to play it. I shook it around, and I couldn't hear any loose parts or anything, would you know what the problem is and how to fix it?

  • Can you replace an N64 cartridge because I bought super mario 64 cartridge, and it won't fit. so I'm thinkin replacing the carter play with another game practically a really crappy one

  • @megaspidermoon Yes, you can do that if you can find another game casing that will fit properly.

  • @nintendorepair can you do a video about it?

  • @megaspidermoon I'll make note of that. It will just be the same when you clean your games.

  • thank you so much and that spiderman game is my favorite game

  • @avgnman72 You're welcome. You can always check out our website for updates.

  • I bought a couple of games on ebay and when you shake them it sounds like somethings loose or broken on the inside but they still work okay. Do you know what my problem might be?

  • @cavalryscout72 One or both of the clips on the bottom of the cartridge may have broken off inside of it. It's not that big of a deal because the game is still being held together by the screws and they can't do much damage inside because the metal case is covering the motherboard.

  • Do you think maybe the problem is that a dime is stuck in my N64?

  • @KevinBlock123 A little plastic supports on the inside of the case help hold the game motherboard in place. Sometimes these break, which is what is causing the rattling. You can solve this by purchasing a 3.8 mm bit and opening it up and removing the pieces. If you want to purchase one you can visit our website.

  • Nintendo Repair Shop provides better technical service, but Lukie Games has better prices.

  • @cameronatha1 Our stance is that we clean and test every single game that we sell. No one else does this. We actually open up and scrub the contacts of each and every game.

  • I bought you game cleaning kit, the only problem is, I got rusted contacts. ( Not originally my game, I just bought it).

What should I do to fix that?

  • @Solidstryker Yes, the game cleaning kit is excellent at removing oxidation.

  • where can I get one of those but in Houston cause I don't know where to find one?

  • @wolflover599 Our store is in NC. You can search for nintendo repair shop on google for our store.

  • Hey guys, question: Is it a good idea to clean the pins on the system itself?

I just got a game off ebay and tried it out. Well not only did it not work, but when i tried one of my old games (which i kno works bc i've been playing it) it wouldn't work either. After a few tries i actually blew on the slot and the game came on screen but with the sound distorted and then it froze. I'm afraid the new game messed up my N64 :(

It also looks like the new game has rust on the pins (redish/brown dots)

  • @CrzybuthatsHowItGoes You can try our cleaning kit if it works for you. It removes all the dirt oxidation and corrosion that causes your games to not work. 100% guaranteed.

  • good vid

  • @SuperNbamixer Thanks for viewing.

  • Then I would recommend giving our nintendo game cleaning kit a try. It really has worked wonders on a number of games folks had otherwise given up on.

  • @nintendorepair Even games that haven't worked for years???

  • @shadowing00 If anything can get them working again its this kit. It is worth a shot if they are good games that would otherwise be expensive to replace.

  • @nintendorepair Donkey Kong 64 is a game worth fixing. The other one is Mario Kart 64 but I have that one downloaded on the Wii XD

  • @nintendorepair

Can you make tutorial on how to clean the console pins because even though my N64 works amazing I have to blow into the slot every once and a while. Please reply and upload thanks. :D

  • @Francyesko So, did you use our kit to clean the game and you still are not able to get your game to work? If so, you may need to inspect your N64 system connector, and use a cleaning tool to see if that itself is dirty.

  • @nintendorepair yes i used cotton fiocc and alcohol but it didn't work :'-(

  • @Francyesko Ah, well then. This is just a prime opportunity for me to push our Nintendo Game Cleaning Kit. Visit our site and search for that product. It has a much more effective cleaning product, non-static game cleaning pads, and a tool that allows you to open up your games so you can clean them effectively. I can almost guarantee you that this will work given your attempts thus far. Let me know if it works!

  • @nintendorepair I have two games that i had opened up and cleaned and still dont work..... I tried Brasso and Rubbing Alcohol on both connector lens and they still dont work. Do you think the nintendo 64 repair kit would give my games a go like it did years ago???

  • @shadowing00 for the record we do not recommend using brasso. Our repair kit should do the job assuming you can get any games working in your system at all. If not, you system connector may already be toast. In which case a replacement system would be needed.

  • @nintendorepair My N64 console works fine its only the two game cartridges that dont work properly :(

  • Thank you for the video! I was playing Mario 64 and Zelda Ocarina of Time yesterday and it glitched and froze at some parts! I'm glad you have this step by step video for the less Nintendo cleaning savvy. :-)

  • @jokermausland Thanks for the feedback! We are always out to help fellow classic gaming enthusiasts.

  • This is like the last system to use a cartiage

  • @tigerboyX Yep. Sadly. I will always be a proponent of cartridges from a quality and durability standpoint, but they are SOOO much more expensive than CDs. I think that is why you see the switch. In the end, it really doesn't do a video game company any good that it lasts you 25 years. It might even be better if you have to buy a replacement in 3 years. Regardless, yes the N64, SNES and NES games can still work today with the proper treatment, because they are very high quality items.

  • @nintendorepair Let's see if my final fantasy 7 still works in 20 years

  • @tigerboyX Hey, if you take care of it, definitely possible. That is one of my favorite games. Have you ever tried Chrono Trigger for the SNES?

  • @nintendorepair I never had an SNES
