My daughter is in OCS right now and the class leader in her class is also another female. Affirmative action has NOTHING to do with being the class leader. It requires hard work and this position is EARNED! Much sweat and preparation goes into this! It is a position of honor and respect!
The ones in SDBs are the members of the graduating class. The smaller groups in khaki are junior classes who are serving as rifle platoons for the graduation parade. They're typically the second to next class to graduate and the class following that.
I've worked with the Swedes, it's fun teaching them tactics. Look, youre obviously young and naïve, let me clue you in on some things. First, Swedish Officers use a similar style dress blue uniform, so your ignorant put down only makes you look foolish. Secondly, Sweden in no way compares to the US Fleet- in scope or size. Our forces' strength, capability, and ability to project are exceedingly superior to that of Sweden's. Learn some facts & diplomacy; your own Navy uses both, you should too.
Where was this graduation?

So the 1 woman in the class gets to be the leader, meanwhile the men have to pretend they actually respect her pitiful effeminate shrieking.
I guess the Affirmative Action starts from day 1 of your career in the US military.

Why are there the two smaller groups in khaki, and the main body in the Dress Blues?

I think you are correct. But if I'm not mistaken, the Navy also looks at years of prior service that is taken off your age.

I've never got my head around the american way of marching. It looks like it's an organised walk with minimum amount of effort required.
But, maybe I've just seen too many British/Commonwealth troops marching with full arms swinging and knee lifting.
Someloke8895 3 years ago
yes, the United States' form of marching is meant to look like a coordinated walk, it's meant to look very natrual and not flashy.
