  • @lustntee IT JUST FASCINATES ME HOW YOU CAN MAKE STUFF UP AND TALK ABOUT SOMETHING YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT... CRAP LIKE "HE WAS BORN IN EUROPE HAD NO AFRICAN INFLUENCES". (WHAT?!?) NOT ONLY IS IT INACCURATE ON BOTH COUNTS, YOU ALSO REALLY EXPOSE YOUR BIASES... IF YOU WANT TO PORTRAY YOURSELF AS A FELA EXPERT, AT LEAST LEARN BASIC FACTS ABOUT HIM!

  • FELA IS A PERFECTIONIST IF ANY INSTRUMENT AMONGST HIS BAND GOES FLAT HE CORRECTS IT QUICKLY HE LISTENS HES A LEADER HE IS ONE OF THE BEST COMPOSERS OF OUR TIME HE WAS BORN IN EUROPE HAD NO AFRICAN INFLUENCES AND WHEN HE CAME TO NIGERIA HE EMBRACED EVERYTHING AFRICANISM PLUS FELA IS THAT KIND OF PERSON WHO CANNOT OVERLOOK ANYTHING EVIL THATS WHY OBASANJO WAS HIS FAVOURITE SCAPEGOAT!!!!!!!

  • @lustntee erm.. Fela was born in ABEOKUTA NIGERIA and i'm not sure how he had no african influences. he was born and raised there and was only abroad for 4 years to study and then to perform.... there was no "coming" to Nigeria.

  • @lustntee Where did you get that false info.... .....He was born in NIGERIA : ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE .....Born and bred in Nigeria ....he studied in London(he was originally supposed to study medicine but decided to study music).......really dude you astound me, check any official records if you like.....HE IS AN AFRICAN through and through

  • Fela was one of the greatest & influential musicians to ever walk on this planet.

  • see fela classic steps...clap,clap

  • Uplifting

  • at 7:56-7:58; and also 7:47-7:49; the light skinned dude shown behind the lady is Fela Kuti's son Femi who is also carrying Fela's legacy on by stepping in his dad's shoes for quite some time. Fela Kuti- BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!!

  • I like to think I understand his message and his music. I'm even copying tony allen a lot on my drumkit! 'Playing' instead of striking my hi-hat was a new idea for me as was doing a different time signature with each limb. I think Fela would have liked nothing more than for everybody to be as aware of things, as strong in deeds and as loving as himself. Don't only worship him- strive to be like him! Make your own band! Think for yourself! Be a rebel and be passionate about what you think! ACT!

  • Hey fela is a good musician but he cant keep calling out specific govt officials which is a against the norms of nigerian govt. but if he only sings on issues concerning nigerian economy i think he will live his life to the fullest!!!!

  • @pappy1234561 ...to whom standards...FELA dispised them and their so called wisdom...so he couldnt be subjected to the "nonsense"... he was in human sense... a KING .

  • @pappy1234561 Let him call! and he died in 1997...
