cats are gentle too.. the cat wasnt exactly trying to hurt the dog.. my cat knows never to dig its claws into us when it plays, and if there is someone swinging a toy about and it lands on our leg the cat will chase it and stop if he thinks he might swipe us by accident. dont know why dogs always get all the credit.. if a cat and a dog fight, its always cause the cat was winding the dog up... no if a dog ever attacks a cat, then its a badly trained dog..

I know it sounds more of a human thing, but I remember watching my friends 2 dogs play and one bit the other on accident. But then felt SO bad, you could tell because she was so quiet and kept licking the wound for them. So sweet.

The claws in the face might look painful but the dog wasn't hurt or it would have reacted. Dog skin is way thicker than ours and it's quite hard to hurt them unintentionally. Have you ever seen puppies playing? Sometimes it looks so rough that I cringe and look away from the way they just clamp down and yank--don't worry, this guy isn't in any pain :)
