1 question is this a gaming card ? i mean like for extreme gaming , using this card no matter wat games (from now on) , just pull everything to high without problem
Or is this an average gaming card , which most games still able to perform at HIGH but not every games
@fenix8634 It's not the newest card on the market but it can run most games in 1920&1080 (Full HD) without any problems whatsoever, despite it already has 2 years.
@fenix8634 Of course lol, games do not have that big requirements these days because the outdated consoles stop games from evolving too much, that's how HD5870 can run most today games on 1920&1080 and High specs without big efforts. Do not forget that 2 years ago this card was really high-end.
@willeyboy2 No, im getting a new PC with a Core i5, The athlon is always a steady processer, Its also one of the newer athlon's, By no means will it bottleneck it.

Asus & Gigabyte are also very well established brands. I have heard great things about Gigabyte's CS for motherboards. Not sure if that translates over to graphics cards though.

Does it make a big difference if you put 2 of these in crossfire at 8x 8x? I ask because maybe I would do it someday and I dont want to get another motherboard (mine has one 16x slot and one 8x).
You need the ASUS Republic Of Gamers 2 GB module of this card and need to overclock it to 1ghz in order to play Crysis warhead on Ultra High settings at 1920x1080 in order to achieve 60smooth frames per second with no micro stutter that crossfire dual gpus gives you

I think it is totally up to you.
What case do you have at the moment?
I think that a bigger case is better because the airflow will be better in a bigger case.
But, if you have the option to put in 2 smaller graphiccards in a pc then that should do the job too.
Bigger case for me

@HardwareCanucks - 1 Question.. XFX or ATI? (Warranties.. and Customer Support - Reliability wise)
dannyrea246 1 year ago
@dannyrea246 Answering on this account because it is more a personal preference;
@dannyrea246 XFX definitely.
To Sapphire's credit they have drastically improved over the past year, with a North American centre of operations so no more cross ocean shipping.

Aristowi 1 year ago
the card need two power conectors? or i can use only one?
2000Asdx 1 year ago
You need the ASUS Republic Of Gamers 2 GB module of this card and need to overclock it to 1ghz in order to play Crysis warhead on Ultra High settings at 1920x1080 in order to achieve 60smooth frames per second with no micro stutter that crossfire dual gpus gives you
GoodDay2YouSir 1 year ago
It can't run Crysis smoothly on very high, just so you know...

So if i have 2 cards each with 2gb the will work togheter as 4gb?
uphill248 1 year ago
@uphill248 If you are using Crossfire (which I assume you would be) no, the amount of available system video memory is not doubled. So 1GB+1GB=1GB.
