Yeah the ball would have landed right behind the car or a few feet away if they kept at the speed they were going because if you think about the length of the car. If the ball hits a speed decrease when going up the ramp and they decide to hit their brakes after launching the bowling ball take the area of the car and if you do the math the chances are not that low of the bowling ball landing on or hitting the car.
