RELAX this meteor shower lasts about 2 weeks. You will still see meteors tonight and for about the next 5 nights. Each night will be less and less but there will be more than just an average night for sure.
I was out on my back deck in Indianapolis with my little sister and we were out for about 40 mins maybe and we saw at least 15, couple huge ones.. it's absouletly amazing:)
i saw it FREAKEN AWSOME i want to stay up late until 2 to 4 if i can you see there meteors/Orion Constalation/ Venus/ Mars mabey even ju;piter and neptune
not many here. Its really strange actualy... so my neibor's dog barks, and a milisecond later a meteor Burns up across the sky. It happened Twice!!! the rest were pretty cool, although i have to admit. last night there was a huge meteor, it almost look Green, a green Blur.
its not gonna show in la because of all the lights if you wanna c them i would suggest getting away from the lights pack some coffe a blanket and maybe a pillow and go to the country for a while :) good luck ive ceen it a couple times and its really really REALLY KEWL
Im in Edinburgh(Scotland) and the sky is perfect tonight. I have been out for the past 2 hours (it's now 00:30am) and i've seen about 20 or so meteors, amazing looking meteors, the colours are fantastic.
So we are August 12 here and it is 18:44. Was it this morning or tomorrow morning (August 13) because it says in the video August 12 and August 13 in the description.
The main night was August 12, but August 13 was just about as good. You'll see some meteors from this shower every night for a week or more on either side of these dates. Plus there are other minor meteor showers.Keep an eye out, Jane (saw only 1 in LA, but it was a very bright one)
I think it's visible everywhere in the northen hemisfere, as long as you watch it from 2 - 4 am of your country's time, because that's when you'll be facing the shower.
PS you might see some Earth grazers close to the horizon before Perseus rises. (aka 8-11 p.m. your local time. That's when I way my one and only Perseid last night!
I saw some last night! Why couldn't it be a meteor storm, that would have been a show.
Too bad we won't be able to see the Leonid Shower in November, predicted 500 shooting stars an hour, mostly visible to Asia.
Our solar system doesn't seem so deadly anymore.
Can anyone tell me when Earth will be in the danger zone again, w/ possible collision courses w/ asteroids and the passing of thick comet trail debris.
When is this rock going to start running into stuff again, where it touches down!
Will I be able to see them where I am? I live in western Michigan, Muskegon specifically. I would LOVE to be able to see this first hand. Please reply back A.S.A.P. or at your earliest convenience. THANKS!
I read between 9 amd 11pm tonight since the moon is too bright once it rises. Is this right? Also I live in Houston TX. Do I expect to see any tonight?
they say midnight so do they mean 12;00 am weds (as in already passed) or do they technically mean 12:00am thursday which wud be late wenesday night?im so confused. HELP
Yup! And you'll see some the week or two before and the week or two after the main shower. Not many, tho! I only saw one from near NASA JPL Pasadena, CA (It is very light polluted around here)
I wonder if Las Vegas is too bright to see these meteors...but I'm stolked and definitely will not miss out on this! Maybe I can see some faint ones. :D
i saw 3 last night!!! right after the fireworks show was finished there were loads... i was watching them with my friends... i'm soo pleased that i saw them becuase i have ALWAYS missed them before =D
This is so awesome! I will be out that morning fo-sho! Hope they are visible in Houston. Usually have terrible skies, Haha. But I guess you don't need a real clear sky to see a meteor shower!

SpongebobLover this meteor shower happens every year.....
The comet that creates the dust in space only comes around once about every 130 years.
But we pass through this debris every year at this time.
Look up Meteor showers 1009 on google .. there are going to be about 3 more major meteor showers this year.
