I hadn't heard this song in a while... you did a fantastic job on the finger style. I only wish that one day I too can do finger picking. I guess is like my "vibrato" challenge... but I think that I am getting there now.
I look back on my first videos and I get reminded that it is all about dedication.
Thanks YT for allowing people to have "video diaries"... well... that is, until YT decide to cancel and delete somebody's account! :~(
@francoprs Thanks Franco, glad you liked this one, it's a good composition and those I enjoy working out. If you want to hear Blues-Vibrato check out my newest tune I'm going to upload "Born under a Bad Sign" also listen to Albert King's vibrato and you'll learn a whole lot, incredible those old Blues men had it all down man. Certainly it's bout dedication, a marriage with Music is not an easy one, it's more demanding then a beautiful lady, lol, Vic.
Hi there, Vic! This is just wonderful...always a joy to listen and watch! Awesome arrangement and feeling in your playing! Thanks for posting! Have a super week!
@onebocawoman Thanks Linda, glad you enjoyed and I enjoyed watching your Dance video Terry made, great pictures looking very passionate on the ball room floor, those must have been great times, dancing the Nights away, hug Vic.
Just a few days a friend of mine and I thought about this wonderful song - and now you're presenting this fantastic solo guitar version! That's thought-transmission :-)))
@BoeckmannLudwig Thanks Bernd I had this one for a while playing on solo-gigs and thought it's a great tune to present on YT,thanks man, don't let me stop you guys from doing your version, cheers Vic.
Another great arrangement from you. I like the rhythm in this performance. Your playing is very clean (as usual). I like the timbre of your guitar as well. The mid-range helps to "punch" the rhythm.
I'm also glad to see that you are finally asking to be compensated for your arrangements. You have been giving away free lessons and music since I have know you. Many of your arrangements and performances are master classes in themselves. You drop little pearls of wisdom for those who look.
@carvetop01 Thanks so much for your very wise comment Allen, I can see you're a fantastic listener because all you say is true. And as for the arrangements, many guys approach me for Tabs (scores) but they want them for free I'm not in that bag anymore, it's too much work to give it all away for free besides I'll be spoiling those guys to the bone, lol,Vic.
@1wiesehoefer1 Well Friedl, you know I give lessons so I keep track of lot's of Stuff that's going on nowadays, this doesn't mean the old Stuff isn't good material, because it is,Vic.
i love your guitar playing, and was interested to see you re selling the score to More than words.. so i clicked on the link to go to yr site - but it says Lessons Underconstruction and i couldnt find the score anywhere else. any help would be appreciated - thanks
Hi Vic, what a beautiful arrangement of this tune. Yes, many students like to play this one (not easy to sing the bridge, by the way;-)) - so here the folks have the chance to buy a nice arrangement! It´s worth every note!
I like it when you play the acoustic most. So clear in sound, and perfect in technique!
@LONGWINDING Thanks Frank,I said to myself against all oppression of people who expect everything for free I'll continue to score all my Stuff,if I can't sell them I have them neatly worked out for my Students anyway, who are very glad with these neat Guitarpro5.3 scores.I'm not giving in giving away all my arrangements for free, there's simply too much labor involved, I don't understand folks who do so,they're very un-businesslike . Thanks for your very encouraging words, all the best,Vic.
@abhikmazumder Thanks brother, yes the bass-line is very important,I love chord inversions, something I learned from listening to Bach and The Beatles.A good chosen bass note changes the whole atmosphere, you've got musical ears,Vic.
@Mariekesone Thanks Rineke, judging all the reactions from across the Globe I think you're right. People (musicians) shouldn't forget I was busy years before the Internet period, studying and training every day. Now I sometimes have the impression people think they can have everything by pressing a few knobs, this doesn't work for Music,it's back to the school benches with discipline,Vic.
Beautiful acoustic melody, you play that genre so well. Sometimes I can hear a beat in my head, but I usually don't have the same mastery of tempo like you when I try to play. Maybe someday the beat and the playing will come together. Beautiful tune to play to as well. Thanks.
@sunriverperson Great you mention that of the Beat, I've trained myself very hard at that point to continuously follow my built-in metronome, mostly tapping my foot to the basic beat. This is certainly trainable for every body once you put your mind to it,all the best Rich,Vic.
@dennisisms You know your Classics, and as a Beatles-analyzer I know what You mean. Paul Mc Cartney, the King of chord inversions, his bass parts are a melody on themselves, very creative,I'm glad I was raised on that sound (among others),Vic.
@SIRONEDRAGON Thanks Ken it's a summer day here and then I'm always feeling good in the sunshine. I know what you mean bout the shirt, indeed kind of "Aloha".I see you wearing them a lot too,LOL,thanks Brother,Vic.
@SabMei1 Thanks Sabine, for your lovely comment, in my head I always hear the back-beat of the snare drum and in certain tunes the percussion beat create that swing I love so much. especially the Intro here has that lovely syncopation. I always say: A guitarist should be a little drummer as well,LOL, big hug Vic.
Another great upload. You can play the heck out of any style Vic. Hey....love the shirt!!! It seems to go with your cheery persona. Your selections always put a smile on my face.
@Jazzguts No wonder you sound so incredible. You have a great attitude about life in general I think. If we were on the same half of the world, I would certainly take some guitar lessons from you!!!! You would have your work cut out for you though!. LOL
