@Phester11 I have no idea. However Jerry Holkins would have a 64% chance at knowing the correct answer 78% of the time. So you should consult Jerry Holkins.
I used to listen to this album on my walkman on the playground when i was ten. I realize now that was pretty cool of me. I didn't know back then because I didn't know anyone cool enough that would have realized this and given me some credit. If my kid listened to this kind of stuff i would be proud.
I'm trying to upload a portal 2 video that uses minimum wage as part of the background music and I'm running into potential copyright issues. Any tips for me to alleviate this problem?
I can personally send the final edit to anyone who thinks they may be able to lend some advice or someone who just wants to see a badass portal 2 vid. Thanks in advance.
@randyisnot Comment Fail. All of their albums are totally listenable, especially (as you mentioned) because they are so literary (*ahem*) cover-to-cover.
@ezekieloak Flood was the first CD I have ever purchased. I have been to EVERY live performance in SoCal since '89. I have memorized every lyric to every song (even podcasts). J&J have brought me up through more of my adolescence than my own father. That said, Post-Apollo has been a ripoff. Severe Tire Damage stole from loyal listeners. Factory Showroom had nothing but Dial-a-song's and B-sides. Every complete album since contains a myriad of songs that I am confident most people skip on players
@ezekieloak so drink the kool-aid and think that their best is ahead of them. I love these guys and will buy every album unconditionally. But iterating that mine is a comment 'fail' (when every fan of TMBG knows their favorite band's best album is behind them) on a completely insignificant song (seriously....Women and Men is where you make your stand?) posting on Youtube just makes my Monday so sweetly sweet.
i remember when Flood came out, 1990 i think, i was working in a chicken killing factory....this album, changed a lot fo things for me, now, 19 years later.....i am the Managing Director of a huge multi national, so......music seriously does change lives, period :)
@seeligsilence yh, I was 19 when flood came out, I had a lot of up and downs since then , but life always gets better if you're open to a, and I'm only gonna say this once, a POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE, Life's definately better at 39 years, but Flood has always been there when I wanted a bit of fun ! Well TMBG - You will always be class :)
@seeligsilence When this album came out I listened to it over and over all day every day for close to a year. Its one of the most unique, clever and talentful albums ever. If you were not a "follower" this album would inspire you and support you in your own individuality!!
Yes, one of the best songs ever. But, I think, if Women and Men had a fight with "Birdhouse in Your Soul" that Birdhouse would win. That's just my opinion....
I just found my cassette tape of this album. I had forgot about all the cool songs on it. Great album. Right up there with another of theirs, Apollo 18.
Who else's mind immediately starts playing Sapphire Bullets Of Pure Love when this song ends?
