  • Who else's mind immediately starts playing Sapphire Bullets Of Pure Love when this song ends?

  • :C My itunes deleted this cd. now I gotta youtube it D:

  • lol

  • Mixed meters... weird. Good song, though.

  • Thanks Jerry for reminding how great this song is

  • Jerry Holkins told me to come here and listen to this. I think Jerry Holkins is 84% correct 78% of the time.

  • @toonuraccoon so completely right 62% of the time.

  • @Phester11 I have no idea. However Jerry Holkins would have a 64% chance at knowing the correct answer 78% of the time. So you should consult Jerry Holkins.

  • thanks penny arcade for directing me here

  • I used to listen to this album on my walkman on the playground when i was ten. I realize now that was pretty cool of me. I didn't know back then because I didn't know anyone cool enough that would have realized this and given me some credit. If my kid listened to this kind of stuff i would be proud.

  • @erinloveshobbers yup, "A brand new record, or 1990"

  • I'm trying to upload a portal 2 video that uses minimum wage as part of the background music and I'm running into potential copyright issues. Any tips for me to alleviate this problem?

I can personally send the final edit to anyone who thinks they may be able to lend some advice or someone who just wants to see a badass portal 2 vid. Thanks in advance.

  • I want to be universe man !

  • I love this band : )

  • This song is the best ever.

  • I grew up in the 90's with my Dad playing these songs to me. TMBG, they are awesome.

  • TMBG is the first band i really grew up on, and looking back on it all now..idk how this album went platinum but it did lol so good for the Johns..

  • This album is the acme of TMBG. They have come close, but never really reaching an album that is cover-to-cover comepletely listenable.

  • @randyisnot Comment Fail. All of their albums are totally listenable, especially (as you mentioned) because they are so literary (*ahem*) cover-to-cover.

  • @ezekieloak Flood was the first CD I have ever purchased. I have been to EVERY live performance in SoCal since '89. I have memorized every lyric to every song (even podcasts). J&J have brought me up through more of my adolescence than my own father. That said, Post-Apollo has been a ripoff. Severe Tire Damage stole from loyal listeners. Factory Showroom had nothing but Dial-a-song's and B-sides. Every complete album since contains a myriad of songs that I am confident most people skip on players

  • @ezekieloak so drink the kool-aid and think that their best is ahead of them. I love these guys and will buy every album unconditionally. But iterating that mine is a comment 'fail' (when every fan of TMBG knows their favorite band's best album is behind them) on a completely insignificant song (seriously....Women and Men is where you make your stand?) posting on Youtube just makes my Monday so sweetly sweet.

  • TMBG's Flood was the soundtrack to my childhood. I now listen to these songs and they bring back fond memories. Thanks TMBG!

  • CLEVER LYRICS!

  • @neverfit that's TMBG for you.

  • This song isn't their best by a long shot.

  • TMBG Pwns!!!

  • I love this song it's inspirational :D

  • music that simply puts you in a better mood lol

  • the olympia 1990 dublin. 20 years ago, does that mean im wise now?

  • i remember when Flood came out, 1990 i think, i was working in a chicken killing factory....this album, changed a lot fo things for me, now, 19 years later.....i am the Managing Director of a huge multi national, so......music seriously does change lives, period :)

  • Haha, cool.

I found TMBG after browsing around iTunes, looking for music.

I listened to this album every day on the bus ride to school. :)

  • i dont know who i feel more poorly for the chickens, or the multi-nationals.

  • feel sorry for the chickens, they cant defend themselves now :)

  • @seeligsilence After they read my Chicken Manifesto they will violently revolt against their coups...it will be a coup de coup.

  • ROTFL

Its not like you applied yourself or anything...

  • Hee hee, true.....the music set me on my way, whoo hoo :)

  • That is a beautiful story

    *cries*

  • @seeligsilence yh, I was 19 when flood came out, I had a lot of up and downs since then , but life always gets better if you're open to a, and I'm only gonna say this once, a POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE, Life's definately better at 39 years, but Flood has always been there when I wanted a bit of fun ! Well TMBG - You will always be class :)

  • @seeligsilence D: that job sounds absolutely evil! if i worked there i probably woulda destroyed the place from the inside

  • @seeligsilence When this album came out I listened to it over and over all day every day for close to a year. Its one of the most unique, clever and talentful albums ever. If you were not a "follower" this album would inspire you and support you in your own individuality!!

  • @darkswim14 .........amen to that, i read your words and smiled, nodding my head in agreement! :)

  • rofl

    definitely the best song ever.

  • This song is concentrated goodness.

  • Best song ever. Joo. Paras.

  • You wouldn't think it was possible to pack this much win into such a simple little goofy song, but voila.

  • damn I havent heard this song in a good 10 years! I still remember it! and it still rocks!!

  • one of the best songs of the TMBG, though quite unkown.

lyrics and music go perfectly together.

  • please saphire bullets of pure love i like that song!

  • i sing this when i,m om my boat, discovering new continents.

  • "Oh my America, my new found land!" ;-)

  • Truly and honestly, this song just restored my faith in humanity... thank you.

  • This song helped make me a whole and happy person.

    lp

  • Same here. Helped me be jovial and optimistic about my future with women, which has worked out great after all.

  • Yes, one of the best songs ever. But, I think, if Women and Men had a fight with "Birdhouse in Your Soul" that Birdhouse would win. That's just my opinion....

  • Triangle man could take them both on.

Triangle man is freaking badass. Seriously.

  • particle man is better

  • Well, unfortunately, Particle Man had to accept defeat form this triangular-shaped adversary.

  • @shanez1313 triangle man is a fucking douche!

  • i love this song! why isn't it better known?

  • i'm going to have this song played at my fucking wedding.

  • I know how to make Wolf Link from Twilight Princess howl to this! A howl-along! Who knew? :)

  • I'd like to see that

  • That is the best thing that I have heard EVER!

  • i don't know what you just said, but if it has anything to do with this song, it must be FUCKING AWESOME!

  • i LOVE this song!!

  • AHH i love this song

    <3333

  • top ten songs ever t.m.b.g. is incredible again and again

  • I just found my cassette tape of this album. I had forgot about all the cool songs on it. Great album. Right up there with another of theirs, Apollo 18.

  • Omg, I love this song. XD I actually bought this CD at a thrift store.
