  • I think that MI4 will be my favorite current movie. I can't wait 'till it's on Blu - Ray / DVD.

  • @JPizzle1122 can I marry you?<3

  • I liked Mission Impossible 4 and the things I hated when I saw it weren't even part of the movie. I went with my class (I'm in high school) and so they didn't show the prologue to Dark Knight Rises. And the girls that were sitting behind me were just annoying.

  • did you see the Dark Knight Rises prolouge

  • Where did you get those ghost protocol clips from?

  • @DjBrieon - The internet.

  • stop spoiling the movie

  • @etam083 - I never do... I reveal some details from the first-act, but that's it -- and in a film review setting, pretty much a necessity.

  • To be completely fair on your opinion on MI 1, movies back then tended to be a bit slower so the story sinks in, which I prefer, today its mostly bang boom crash and nonstop action. Also I thought the storyline for MI 1 was very well written, you just have to watch the movie a few times to actually appreciate it, which I don't mind. I still think its the best movie in the series

  • can you do movie night based on the harry potter saga?

  • i loved this movie!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I can't believe how incredibly accurate you were about MI: GP. I saw it just about 20 minutes ago, and realized you were spot on. Great review.

  • @ThePepsiFreak - Thank you very much - means a lot.

  • Jon, have you ever rated a movie 10/10?

  • @crisracercp - Yes - 23 over the course of the 49 episodes.

Have you ever watched this show before?

  • It's a Wonderful Life: One of the best Christmas films ever made. Touching and sentimental, the film embodies everything that we love about the Christmas Season. 9/10

Scrooged: An adapation of "A Christmas Carol" that would fall flat if it wasn't saved by Bill Murray's completely over-the-top and hilarious preformance. 6/10

  • Hey can you review the new sherlock homes movies. and if you did send me a link.

  • Hey Jon, since you said "Bad memories" is it safe to assume that you didn't like who framed Roger Rabbit or Space Jam?

  • @2109917162 - No, I enjoyed both. Neither one looked particularly convincing when the cartoons had to interact though.

  • Its a wonderful life is the true essence of what a christmas film should be. Dark but with a satisfying ending. It shouldn't be a jolly fest of kittens and happyness. The darkness is what makes this film a true classic. 10/10

  • Scrooged: Funny and witty, but slow. 8/10

It's A Wonderful Life: Heartwarming and uplifting, but outdated. 7/10

  • @ComicMaster2008 - You win points for doing a 5-word-review :)

  • Remarkable............the MI series has gotten BETTER with age......quite the difference from almost every other film series out their.

the only other series that had this was the alien series, but only in the distinction that the second was better than the first (everything after it had declining quality)

  • i saw the smurfs on my 14th birthday and me and my friends were dicks in the theater

  • Can you not put the movie rating in the beggining of the description? It sort of ruins the point of the video, other than your commentary.

  • @TheMario1455 - I didn't.

    SO... THERE'S THAT.

  • just to add a thing the smurfs is a classic belgian comic book (written by peyo) adaptation

  • Jon, did you see my message in your video of Mission Impossible 4, The Help and The Smurfs?

  • i thought the smurfs was amazing and funny i would have given it an 8

  • It`s a wonderful life: i watch it every year on Christmas eve with my family truly a remarkable classic 10/10

  • How about doing Happy Feet 1 And 2, Scrooged and It's A Wonderful Life movie review?

    Happy Feet: 10/10

    Happy Feet Two: 10/10

Happy Feet 1 And 2 are the best animated feature movies. Happy Feet was in November 2006 and Happy Feet Two was in November 18, 2011 and it's here. Come on Jon, watch Happy Feet Two! It's so amazing and awesome! Please!!!

  • sick of u americans always wanting to beat the bloody russians. The cold war is over guys! :/

  • Review Sherlock Holmes:A game of shadows!!!!

  • I thought about disliking just due to the awful pun at the beginning...

  • I LOVED SCROOGED :D I'm going to pop it in right now. Bill Murray is hilarious when he's sarcastic like that :) even brought me to tears a bit at certain parts.

  • It's a Wonderful Life is an awesome film. One of the best films of the 1940s. 9/10

  • if it's a nine, doesn't that make it Awesome, not Great?

  • @Green01123Gold - Right, which is what I said.

  • @JPizzle1122 what i was saying was the number should line up with the word, I missed the part you said that, i was confused

  • @Green01123Gold - There are two columns. They'd only "line-up" if we both voted the same.

You gotta pay attention better :)

  • Do a review of Hugo! It was an amazing film. Really, EVERYTHING was amazing. A great one in 3D!

  • Speaking of Roger Rabbit, I'd love to see a review of that one from you. Such a wonderful movie.

  • i can't believe i haven't seen either of next week's movies...

  • @mattardis - Then watch them now? That's the whole reason I give you a week's notice...

  • would the smurfs be good for a 4 year old

  • @studkiller464 According to Jon, it would. :)

  • The only reason I am still here is because of the microwaves

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • Scrooged- Only Bill murray could take this hilarious renedition of Dickens's famous Christmas story and make it 1000x more funnier.

  • I did not really hate the first two Mission Impossible movies; I hated MI3 mostly because I detest J.J. Abrams.

  • No more microwave? no more subscription.

  • @101point5TMG You are just finding this out now?

  • @101point5TMG Boy you are late on that

  • @101point5TMG - New episode of TMS airs Wednesday, actually.

Haha - thanks for not paying attention.

  • How did you get the rights to show a few minutes of the movies?

  • @SporeKore - You don't need "rights" to do film reviews.

  • @JPizzle1122 But you do to put the copyrighted content from movies you review in your videos, which you're making revenue from. Isn't that against the rules?

  • @SporeKore - No.

  • It's a Wonderful Life is one of the greatest movies of all time, anyone who doesn't like that movie simply has no soul.

  • it's kind of funny how you said "nucular"

  • "It's a Wonderful Life" has been a Christmas tradition in my household ever since I was a young boy, much like you and your Die Hard tradition Jon. No matter how many times I see it, I still love it so much, George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) is such a lovable character, Bedford Falls is lovable, and an excellent supporting cast. The morals in the movie are great as well, and it's just a great movie, and I still expect it to be around for years and years to come. Best Christmas movie ever, 10/10

  • Also, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is great! And the physical reactions of the 'toons were great.

  • @ViralMonster - I still think they looked fake, haha.

  • @JPizzle1122 They did look kinda fake, but consider when the movie was made. At the time, that movie was groundbreaking. And the effects are still relatively good today.

  • @JPizzle1122 Looking back on my comment I feel kind of bad. Youhave an opinion ad I respect that. :)

  • Surprising? Are you serious?

  • every microwave has it's own secret

  • Comment removed

  • Movie Review Puss in Boots

  • What is wrong with you ! mission impossible 3 WAS AWFUL!!!! 4 is just as bad, a modern sped-fest cgi pumped action movie.

  • Why there always should be a Russian terrorist???

    Are Russian so bad???

  • @YamatoStarcraft Because Russians arn't American, generally anyone that's NOT American are generally distrusted by America and soo they are a threat to global security which is why you always see (Super) villians have forgien accents.

I LOUTHE America and fighting not to make this into a rant but...yea thats the truth.

  • @YamatoStarcraft - Actually... since the Soviet Union ended, the amount of Russian villains in films has greatly decreased.

  • @JPizzle1122 dude how do you get the youtube comments before the video is even upoaded

  • @sparkie1j - Um... I didn't. I posted the comment after it was uploaded, but before it was processed, or published.

  • Jon, have you reviewed Pulp Fiction yet? If not, it would be a great christmas present! :P

  • Yay I finally had my review featured on the show. Keep in going Jon great show

  • Hey Jon I watched that 30 sec ad JUST for you <3

  • @sheametsfan6 - Which is funny, since all of the reviews from this episode are BELOW THE FOLD.

  • @coloradoavalanche19 - First time live-action director.

  • @sheametsfan6 you mean his ratings of the Mission Impossible reviews?

  • scrooged a funny movie that uses bill murry to probably one of his est performances 11/10

  • You still have a big zit on your nose.

  • @cisforcat - It's actually just a cut... but sure, be a dick about it.

  • Did you ever do a review for the movie Paul? I've been wondering if I should see it, hearing mixed reviews, and I hoped to find your opinion. I couldn't find a review for it from you, but maybe I just can't do a good search (:

  • @RyuksGirl or u coukd quit being a pussy and just watch it

  • @RyuksGirl - It's great. See it. Especially if you're a Sci-fi fan.

  • awesome !!

  • Making me see your "quick reviews" on the screen as soon as I clicked in took away a lot of my desire to keep watching.

  • @Zandock - But they're from films not mentioned here?

    Um... pay attention, please.

  • @Zandock Must say, the fact that he does it alone makes me lose most of my desire to watch it.

  • I am a member of a small theater in my hometown and we adapted Scrooged for for the stage and I must say, you gain a new appreciation for a movie if you perform it yourself. I was cast as the Cabbie(ghost of christmas past) and that voice, after about an hour of rehearsing, really hurts your throat.

  • @Hobbes9208 - Haha, sounds like fun though.

  • Scrooged: Bill Murray is great at hating holidays. This was a wonderful film with great modern interpretations of the ghosts and Ebenezer Scrooge. The allusion to the original was a nice touch. 10/10

  • its a wonderful life: a true christmas classic that shows how much of a difference one person can make. its old yes but still revelent. 9/10

  • Scrooged 9/10: One of Bill Murray's best. Plenty of laughs and memorable scenes, with a strong message about the real meaning of Christmas that still rings true today.

  • It's A Wonderful Life - A classic movie that everyone should see!! It's a heart warming story that puts you in the spot of would the world be different without you...with very well developed characters and a loveable angel, Clareance...it is a wonderful classic that I always look forward to watching around christmas time :) 10/10

  • the smurfs wasn't Neil Patrick Harris's first movie. you said he took "a big step" from being a TV actor when the step wasn't that big. he has acted in movies before like the little know Dr. Horrible's sing-along blog.

  • @storn01069 - I didn't say it was his first movie - I said he was finally a "movie star". His earlier roles were in TV movies, or other lame, minor characters, or as himself.

  • @CATSr2 I had no idea tintin was French either; perhaps because it's not and it's actually Belgian.

  • @MrRenegadePhoenix French language, Belgian creator. Calm down.

  • @coloradoavalanche19 It's still belgian, I was just correcting someone else's mistake.

  • @MrRenegadePhoenix Well you are still wrong because it was originally in the french language, therefore it is french. What don't you understand about that?

  • @coloradoavalanche19 french is one of the 2 oficial languages in belgium so

  • @coloradoavalanche19 You're still wrong. A belgian wrote it, in french, but it was first published as a supplement to a belgian magazine before being published in a belgian newspaper. In Belgium french is an official language, just because it is in french does not make it french. Learn to distinguish between language and nationalities before arguing with a Tintin fan. Most hollywood movies are in english but that doesn't make them english, they're still american.

  • @MrRenegadePhoenix I am saying it is in the french language, not from France! We are agreeing here.

  • @coloradoavalanche19 Sorry, yeah, I misread your comment because it said "it is french" and thought you meant the country not the language.

  • Scrooged 7/10

    It's A Wonderful Life 10/10

  • i came for the microwaves and stayed for the movies

  • @TheCheck999 I came for the microwaves and stayed for the movies and Game Time on his other channel.

  • @TheCheck999 I know that feel, bro.

  • I hope you review the movie TinTin, I'd love to see that. I had no idea that TinTin is actually french, my french teacher also said that TinTin is one of the more famous comic strip adventures in France.

  • Scrooged: ah that was a funny movie taking on a great plot and making you sad at times Bill Murray is very funny in this movie playing a goof: 10/10

  • Gears of War, someone will get it

  • I love Jimmy Stewart!!

  • Have you considerd reviewing foreign language films? I would love to know your opinion on these "not so mainstream" movies...

  • @Sneb86 Shush your hipster mouth

  • It's a Wonderful Life: An awesome classic about Christmas that has a slightly slow start. 9/10

  • Typo - you put Afectingly after the help///

  • It's called Burj Khalifa

  • It's a wonderful Life: Classic film that teaches people that they make a positive difference. I love watching this every year. 10/10

  • There was a huge article about the new mission impossible in our magazines just because it has one finnish actor in it in a major role or so the magazine said. Seems like a fun movie tho

  • It's A Wonderful Life: Even for a movie cynic like me, I absolutely love this film and watch it every Christmas day 10/10

  • Wow, even the poster for "It's a Wonderful Life" is bad. Seriously, why couldn't they figure out how to promote the movie for what it is, instead of making it look like it's about some happy people doing happy things?

  • @ACFan120 - Your ignorance is amusing.

  • @JPizzle1122 I'm not being ignortant; It's A Wonderful Life is a fantastic movie about how every life is important to those around them, and that no one should ever count themselves unlucky to be alive. The movie is fantastic about showing George Bailey's life, and how different things would have been if he wasn't ever born. The marketing for the movie, however, was just terrible. Seriously, go watch the trailer for it; you'd think it was just about some smug, happy people.

  • @ACFan120 - You were commenting on the poster though - which, for 1946 was a pretty standard design / marketing element. All movies were marketed pretty poorly back then, especially compared to today's films. Sorry if I insulted you.

  • @JPizzle1122 Don't worry, you didn't. I would have included my thoughts on the poster, but the character limit got to me. Anyway, while the poster may have been just standard design, it still could have been a bit better, with possibly Clarence by his side, or above him as if he was watching over George. They also could have chosen something better in general, like George with his family or friends. But as you say, it was just a standard design for the time.

  • @JPizzle1122

Nothing, it's just an improvement tip

  • Being part of generation y, I wasn't overly fond of Scrooged, but Bill Murray gives a great performance, even if it seems to have strayed away from the original description of Scrooge. 7/10

  • I thought the smurfs was a good movie.

  • I gave smurfs a 9. It was pretty good.

  • lol mi4 sounds a lot like mw3, russian trying to start ww3 with nuclear lauch codes

  • Its a Wonderful Life I love this movie it has a good story, well paced, and very fun to watch around the holidays. It shows you how great life really is and doesn't make you forget it 10/10

  • do a review of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

  • I hated the smurfs. 3/10

  • I watched Smurfs with my 8 year old cousin (who tends to laugh obnoxiously at the movies), but he only laughed a few times during the movie. So I didn't think that it was even that entertaining for him either...

  • MISSION IMPOSSIBRUUUU

  • i want those gloves

  • how about that, 2 movies in 1 night where you liked the film more than the audience.

  • Jon, does MI4 have as bad of camera work as MI3 in that, she. There was an action scene, it was just blurs of cameras whipping around?

  • @Thehiddenz11 - Pretty sure I spoke to this exact point.

  • @jpizzle1122 Sounds like you could've needed af smurf of help with the impossible opening sequence joke

  • Seeing mi 4 today, time for a mission impossible movie marathon

  • American godzilla-Slow to start,mediocre acting,but ok in the long run 6/10

  • I can see thru ur head :D

  • Paula Patton <3

  • @lillovedoctor sexy

  • OMG december 21st is my birthday!

  • Brad Bird isn't a first time director! He did The Incredibles.

  • Jon can you do goodfellas ?

  • It's a Wonderful Life: A film with age, but an equal amount of heart. Always makes me feel great after watching and is one of my favourites. 9/10

  • Must say I think this waas the most solid Movie Night to date. You've really perfected the formula, Jon :)

  • The girl with the dragon tattoo next week?

  • the last samurai has to better then mi4. it is an epic movie

  • 10:25 Are you saying you didn't like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or am I misunderstanding something here?

  • @starwind3438 - You are.

I'm saying the human/cartoon interactions never looked real / believable to me.

  • @JPizzle1122 Ah. Fair enough.

  • I don't get why people say MI1 is very confusing... I mean the plot is more complex then standard action / spy movies, but I thinks that just attributes to the awesome feeling that the movie gives. I mean you have the setup which is very sad, the Langley hq scene is one of the most suspenseful scenes I have seen in a movie, and the ending, all though far fetch, it still is very entertaining. The characters are great, and Tom Cruise' acting is fantastic.

    10/10

  • @nilsen93 - The movie has way too many flaws for that score, IMO. The motives don't make sense, much isn't explained well enough. How did they even get into Langley? They were just hopping the tech would spill water, and set off the alarm? Doesn't make sense.

  • @JPizzle1122 You are in no position to accuse me for overrating a movie when you gave Piranha 3D an 8/10... LOL!

  • @nilsen93 - Yeah, but Piranha was a great movie, and I very clearly explained why.

  • @JPizzle1122 How can you say that it was a great movie? That's like saying the Star Wars prequels are good. And that makes you a movie critic with bad taste... in my honest opinion

  • @nilsen93 - What makes it great? EVERYTHING I ALREADY SAID ABOUT IT.

Watch my review. It doesn't make me a "critic with bad taste" -- it means you got sand in your vagina because we disagree about *ONE* review out of hundreds. "That's like saying the SW prequels are good". News-flash... they are. Not classics like 4-6, but they're fun films. And that's the best part about movies -- we have like different ones!

  • @JPizzle1122 Now you are saying I have sand in my vagina but you are reacting in the same way. No, the SW-Prequels does suck.... SO MUCH! The reviews from RedletterMedia are a hundred times more entertaining then the movies itself! And I'm aware that we disagree over a couple of bagatelles, I'm just saying that MI1 IS awesome, and I feel you didn't give it enough credit

  • i smurf you! :)

  • It's a wonderful life: beautifly shot, brilliantly acted and has the most wonderful message that couldn't be replecated today- 10/10
