i have a 2 1/2 year old dalmatian called sally she's al grown up but act's like such a puppy!! Sally was a rescue dog and was abused until the rescue centre found her and now we got her!! <3 x :)

I have 4 Dalmatians and they are the most amazing creatures! but they are not for everyone! they need lots of attentions LOTS of exercise and patient, consistent training, they do not respond well to negative training eg. hitting, aggressive behavior but if you have the time, energy and patience this dog will make you one happy owner! Dal lover for life :) check out videos of my puppies

I love Dalmatians! I wish they didn't have such a bad reputation. They are perfect campanions for more mature people and are the perfect running partner! And my 10 month old Dalmatian is the biggest snuggler, he wants nothing more but to cuddle. He is so intelligent, to intelligent. They really are great dogs but because they are more human- like or cat- like, it isn't exceptable in a dog.

I have a dalmation and they are such a joy to have. But I must say they are mean dogs and not very good with kids. I would love to breed mine but I just can't find someone with a girl dalmation around where I live.

@snappyjojoy Yup,mines ten and has a few compressed vertebrea from jumping in and out of my old Peterbuilt truck.She is still verry young at hart and I have to make her calm down for her own good if she gets to playing to rough with other dogs or she ends up in bed for a day or two.I would be lost without her...

It depends on how much your local pet store sells them.

yoBEENLY, anyone buying from a petstore is crazy. Anyone wanting a purebred dog should check with their countrys national dog club and get references to the best breeders who will be honest about each dogs history and genetic health problems. Pet stores are a step above puppy mills and you get many unhealthy dogs there so why would anyone support a pet store for selling dogs. Pet stores are for dog food, toys and accessories only.

well... it depends where u get them and if u want a purebreed or not. purebreds run maybe aaround... (if they have paper) 200? maybe.. but it all depends. we got a purebreed dalmation when i was 3 from a dal. farm for 50 bucks... she has her papers and every thing! oreo is her name ! :D

I guess anyone could get a purebred with papers for next to nothing with the right connections but generally speaking purebred dogs that are registered and are from Champion show lines are well into the hundreds of dollars. Some breeds are anywhere from a minimum of 600.00 up to 2500.00 and the odd one is more than that. Many breeders sell pet dogs for less on a non breeding agreement, some do testing on the dogs health before being sold as well. Bonus eh? Yah won't find that in pet stores.

She may get a few more but she is probably going to stay the way she is, Mine doesn't have a whole lot of spots either, but I prefer them when they are not peppered with spots. They are beautiful either way, I think. :)

I am not a "money breeder". I am a VERY respected Dalmatian breeder of some 40 years. Your video is nice, but you STOLE my work from which I make my living as a professional photographer. If you want photos to promote yourself and your video company you should either take your own photos or pay the person who has the expertise to take them. When you steal someone's work you are nothing more than a common thief. Shame on you.

It is unfortunate that Disney's movie gave people the wrong idea on these dogs as there are too many unwanted Dalmatians in shelters and not in good homes.
