The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is really famous. There was a movie, but as always, it wasn't nearly as good as the book. The book had pleny of Adams' ideas in it, most of which had to do with God. Religious people are usually pissed at it.
I know! THat's why i called it quits too! Well, Adams had a large infuence on me. I started the Guide in middle school, so that's when i started to like it. ONly now am i finding out that Adams was a "Radical Atheist". to him, he firmly believed there was no such thing as God. And he was REALLY smart. His books have ideas ranging from the start of the universe to animal rights. It all conflicts with the bible.
Some of the things religious people believe in are completely ridiculous anyway.
Yeah, that's probably the wisest thing any atheist can do for now. Choose the nonviolent approach, while religious people can break their own rules by ridiculing the atheist community.
The Guide is awesome. It's funny too, so you'll like it. I also suggest Richard Dawkins' stuff, along with Monty Python. Both were very good friends with Douglas Adams. (Okay, Monty Python gang was just Adams' role models, especially John Cleese. But they made him who he became. I wish i could meet Adams.)
Graham Chapman was a member of the Pythons...gosh... He was the only one to have died. The rest are John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, ...and god, i always miss the last three.

The ending of the game was dissapointing. Sure the two towers and the return of the king were more fun, but this game was longer and u could do mor stuff. Beating the Balrog is easy once you figure out the special attacks/abilities are the key to the game. First time I play this game I didn't bother with all the special attacks/abilities. I made it all the way to the Balrog without losing a battle. The Balrog stomped my ass. After 20 or so tries I realized my mistake. I went back fought the easy battles over and over till I gained most of the special attacks/abilities. Then I made the Balrog my bitch. Multiple Waters of Lorien helps alot too.
Man I dont no why its so adicting but the balrog is like one of the funnest i freaking trained and dided that aura spell and stuf i usta think morwen is a bad character.. but she pwns!

Lotr : the Third Age , an RPG game of a second fellowship , behind the scenes of the story helping the main heroes and such with little interaction.
Character wise there names name or similar to main characters
AKA Berethor = Boromir and Idrial = Galadriel
Game came out on XBox Original and PS2 only
Thankfully the Xbox 360 supports compatibility for this game :)
In terms of Open World there is none just fast travel and sections
