This is a really good cover. For those people who can't tell this cover from the real song, listen to the intro. In the original, it sounds like Sting is going "OOOHHH", while in this cover version, it sounds like the singer is going "YYEEAAHH".

actually, not *all* the songs are covers. they do have a number of master tracks, starting in GH2, and continuing up to GH3, where the majority are master tracks. but most songs from the earlier GH's are "as performed by..." (meaning covers by studio musicians).

I liked this song, it's a little boring in the game, you can get 100% on expert easily. and i have to agree gh 80's was a half assed job and im not sure about gh3 since activision took over it, more specific neversoft, who made such things as tony hawk downhill jam.
the song has a good sound, just it kind of repeats too much so half way through the song the player gets bored, but the lyrics are pretty cool if you listen to them.

This is my favorite song in the game so far...i have played them all and this is the best...the game i'll admit wasn't the greatest and the price tag was a little high but it will tie me over til the new one comes out in october...and then its Rock Band...its a great time for music games.

No the parts you play in the game are the same ones as a lead guitar. This song really isn't that hard. Free Bird is a different story though. The real solo has 3 guitars.
Oh just for anyone who has a real guitar Snychronity II is an easy song to play on a real guitar. the only hard part is the end of the ain chorus/verse. I play guitar hero on expert so I love it just as much as you but if you want look up the tabs to this song.

This sin't a master track. In the beginning of the video its says prefomed by. If it was a master track it wouldv'e said that on the side. Watch an I Ran video and you will see what I mean.

ive watched most of these "sneak peeks" for the new guitarhero 80's game game and maybe its just the bad audio quality but the covers don't sound nearly as good as the first two games, expecially the singers...

I've noticed that music has gotten a bit worse for wear recently in my generation. Kind of disheartening really when you look at what most musical achievements.
See, this pisses me off. I'm glad that they're making this game, and i love guitar hero, but it takes these songs that people hadn't known about, and makes them these pop culture phenomenons. Very few people under the age of 18 had even heard of the police before guitar hero 2 came out. Now, everyone knows them as "the band who did message in a bottle on guitar hero". The same thing is going to happen with all the other bands.
Yeah Revolutionstereo, I understand what you're saying because I listen to The Police, REO Speedwagon, The Eagles, all the classic rock legends. Now, I'm 16 and I hate it when people refer to The Police as "the band who did message in a bottle on guitar hero" or when people don't know who sings Carry on Wayward Son even when they may go around just singing that one line, because almost always the bands referred to by one song have done so many better songs,give em a nice smackin'.

See, this pisses me off. I'm glad that they're making this game, and i love guitar hero, but it takes these songs that people hadn't known about, and makes them these pop culture phenomenons. Very few people under the age of 18 had even heard of the police before guitar hero 2 came out. Now, everyone knows them as "the band who did message in a bottle on guitar hero". The same thing is going to happen with all the other bands.

Yeah Revolutionstereo, I understand what you're saying because I listen to The Police, REO Speedwagon, The Eagles, all the classic rock legends. Now, I'm 16 and I hate it when people refer to The Police as "the band who did message in a bottle on guitar hero" or when people don't know who sings Carry on Wayward Son even when they may go around just singing that one line, because almost always the bands referred to by one song have done so many better songs,give em a nice smackin'.

actually if you knew anything about music, you would know that ALL of these songs are already incredibly popular, also the police are actually 80's pop and by you bringing up the topic of pop culture i can tell your just an angsty teen who is probably emo.

I especially hate it when kids ay my school (I'm 14) hear Every Breath You Take and say OMG its the P Diddy song. The same is happening to Rage Against the Machine.

this game looks so easy. after completing everything else and then playing expert i could probably beat this game with all 5 stars in like a month. oh well. i'm gonna get it anyway!!!!!
