i never understood why they build in these concrete walls on the side. Those cars produce enormus torque which not always is to keep under controll. This way it is 100% sure they total the car if they fail which imo is jsut not necessary. But i guess thos fags like to see wreckage.

When the safety personnel jump onto the track and immediately run to the back of the vehicle, what is it that they are doing? I know most cars have a battery charge point there so I'm assuming they're disconnecting the battery?

@Dusty594 Battery and the fuel isn't it? Im not to sure on drags but in speedway they normally turn the fuel switch off (which doubles as the engine kill switch) before they check on the driver

Most of the cars that pulled wheelies are either running in a class where you cannot run a wheelie bar (which sucks) OR are bracket racers that think that shit is cool. Real race cars (first category mentioned) focus on trying to keep the wheels down while still transfering the weight enough to plant the tire. Its a real juggling act when your in the 5 second or faster 8th mile zone.

Why are the crashed drag cars mostly Camaro's & Mustang's? I didn't see any "Mopes" hitting the wall or rolling over but the (@10:35) 1/8th mile arrow straight wheel standing Plymouth Duster was pretty cool.
