Actually that's just an old, nice mechanical keyboard, they rock, I still got one at home. And I have a new mechanical keyboard here right now. These really make gaming a whole lot easier and more enjoyable.

Razer gear is actually better in general these players dont use them cause of lack of funds which i highly doubt for boxer or preference but have a mouse like the Naga with i think 17 buttons on it allows bindings for nearly every unit composition and still some left for your base buildings its better too use razer gaming gear or better mouses in general as aposed too these old school keyboards and mouses

@r700xxx personally i think having multiple buttons on the mouse for binding is abit too much, for starcraft that is. It increases the chance of messing up binding and mistakenly pressing them

@r700xxx Nobody who seriously plays StarCraft 2 would use a Naga and key binding. Your APM would suffer so badly if you were trying to hit little buttons instead of hitting the key.

All progamers buy nice mouses and many times use cheap keyboards so it doesn't cost a ton to replace after breaking due to excessive wear.

@TheNolanEarl ive heard from people who use the naga that once you get use to the keys you can micro control groups amazingly well. But i dont have any experience with one so i can't really say for sure, but it makes sense.

Really, they use them because they are cheap and they buy them in bulk for every tournament, etc (like training camps/temples, whateer you call them) so no one has a advantage in the game. And PS/2 is faster than USB because USB is too complicated and is used for a ton of stuff. I don;t use a new, modern keyboard, I just keyboards from the earlier 2000-era (around when this video was made) I don;t have a gaming keyboard :( YET.....

@trignite pro gamers are not allowed to modify keybindings in any way, so that wouldn't help. Plus this generic keyboard is much more compact and familiar than the g15.

Hi.

He uses only F2 and F4.

It's for saving a map position.

Try it for youreself, use of shift + F2 or F4 at two diffrent places, and then press only F2 and F4 and see it saves a location rather than a unit or building.

Usefull when you run out of hotkeys 1-9/0.

Starcraft is the only game using this feature.

If you want to know what the arrow keys are for. Run the game, then press it in game yourself. No configuration changes are made by these guys in a competition since most competitions or tournaments prohibit changed control configurations.
