  • 2009 was the BEST year of my life. THANK GOD I LIVE IN VA

  • What a SUPERB video! Ran across it by accident, was actually looking for videos of the Further concert. What a treat!! The little girl is precious, and the scene carrying your wife to your house is an Oscar winner as far as I am concerned! We're in Free Union; I left work that day at 4:30 and made it home at 11:30; at one point I spent two hours stuck between the Rock Store and the reservoir.

  • That video brings back great memories (I live in Cville) but it certainly wasn't a blizzard by any stretch. A blizzard is defined by 35+ mph winds for at least 3 hours, with visibility at 1/4 mile or less...accompanied by snow of course. What we got was your typical snowstorm. But hey, in a way I can't fault you...the weather chicks on TWC use grossly inaccurate terminology all the time, all in the name of ratings.

  • oh wow my cousins live off of dick woods!

  • 0:30 the snow looks like vanilla ice cream

  • How fat is she Lmao?

  • what a great memory you've given your daughter. thank's for capturing this storm.

  • This is a good little movie and the little girl is completely precious.

  • haha i remeber it snowed for like 3 or days staraight haha hope we get it like that again

  • That was a crazy friday night that it started right in the middle of rush hour, I sat in a UPS truck on Pantops for 5.5 hours without hardly moving at all. Finally before midnight we got word to abandon the vehicles and walk to the center, Didn't have much to do in that truck but smoke and watch the snow go from 2 inches to 15 inches and wonder how the hell I was gonna get home that night !

  • cccccoooooolllllldddddd

  • eerie music.. i like it

  • This was my first winter in Charlottesville. I have lived in the Colorado mountains most of my life. I was never so amazed before as I was at the reaction to that storm.

We had a storm a few years back in Colorado that was 8 feet in one storm. That was a show stopper. The storm that hit Charlottesville might have made the news in Colorado, but life would have continued as normal.

  • @reuben6886 You are right, but C'ville's infrastructure cannot cope with that amount of snow and the locals are not used to driving with snow. The timing caught a lot of people in the middle of rush hour traffic and it was unexpected...

  • Good video, good work

greetings from Poland ....we have a lot of snow in winter too ;-)

  • holy shit! O_O....you lucky bastards...i fucking love snow xDD

  • @rainbowsfordays Is it necessary to use foul language to express yourself?

  • @Cvillemac you tell em Mr. Macdiddy!!!

  • I'm from TX, lived in SD for a few months during this mess. I absolutely hate the snow!!! I'm happily back in the great state of Texas, where we have about 8 months of summer, 3 months of spring/fall, and maybe a month of actual cold weather. But even that stays above 25 degrees most of the time. I think the coldest I remember it being here was 19 above. And we piss and moan about that... lol.

  • haha man we were out of school for like 2 weeks

i loved that but we couldn't even walk in it

didnt think anyone wud do this haha

  • Wow, thats just AWESOME! I love the snow :)

  • Great video!!!

  • Whoa!!! You all got a good one! We just got about 6 in. at most. I got video.

  • Yeah, being from NH, we only got a few inches. You guys really got hammered. We had snow all up & down the coast at Christmas..Yup global warming at it's best!

  • You can't really judge on the climate issue (pro or con) based on one event or even a whole winter.

  • True, it has to be done over many years. In our area we've had less 95-100 summer days than in the past. Even though some say it's getting hotter.

  • 1:22 Cara's face, Johns nose.

  • This brings me to the verge of tears bro...the snowfall is almost as beautiful as littly yabs.

  • So heart warming!

I laughed as your wife was laughing:)

    Merry Christmas!

  • now you know what it's like in North Dakota, ha

  • love it!

  • brilliant!
