one of my heroes, i will never forget seeing Truman and Wes play the holiday market 1992. the Valsetz Logger's Lament sticks in my mind and will forever. Truman was gracious enough to autograph my copies of his cd's I bought. It is such a pleasure to watch someone doing what they truly love to do, and knowing they will pursue it until their last breath.

I had an irish trad player try to tell me that you can't play irish trad from that position. I have watched this video many times and Mr. Price doesn't seem to have any problems with the rolls, cuts and other ornaments in the song.

That's the only one there is, I think. The field is just a block east of the end of NW Huckleberry, behind a line of trees, and it is pristine. It was the home of a native village, and you can see along the east side where the old California-Oregon trail ran. Bob Zybach and friends would love to stop the development that is promised.

Actually it was spring, and we were uprooting blackberry vines to free the camas. The area was a native village long ago, and has the thickest camas I've ever seen.
