Bmw e30 325ix in ACTION

I have an E30 325i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $150. The performance kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

-Avg 9 HP increase

-Lifetime filter

-SOUND AWESOME

-30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.

Hi guys I own this car in charcoal. I dont know if its normal but the handling on this car is equivalent of an SUV and it makes it difficult to park. Is that normal? Also do you think its work fixing up this car with paint and dent repair? I feel like selling it for a car with better mpg but I have a small budget. Any ideas?

@kingktiger what is your power steering out or something? These cars have a pretty tight turning radius and mine handles like its on rails. No suv could touch it handling-wise it's nastier than most new cars and mine gets about 20mpg and I'm always on it heavy. Course I put new dampers bushings and flex disks in and changed all the fluids down there thats probably all it needs you shouldn't sell it

@TheDaikashido I checked at Jiffy lube and they said my power steering was good all they found was that the transmission fluid needed to be flushed. All that did was increase the horsepower. When they added steering fluid it was smooth turning the wheel but the handling is not as tight I expected. Now the steering is just ok and its only been a month. How do you put in the new equipment into your car are you taking it into a shop? Thank you its good to know that its something I can fix.

@kingktiger you could start by getting a book called 101 projects for your 3 series. also bentley publishers makes a good manual on it. Those books only talk about the rear wheel drive cars but this is almost the same. If your handling is bad it could be a number of things, but its not really complicated. The car is 20+ years old it just needs new parts. I did mine myself using those two books. First look under the car see if anything is loose or broken. Check all the rubber, check the joints

Awesome vid, I just spent 3 years rebuilding an 89 ix and putting a manual in it, thing is sweet . The ix is a regular 325 but with an awd system thats completely mechanical...it uses a viscous silicone in the transfer case and drive is 37% front 67% rear to retain rwd characteristics...and it does mostly. The only thing I don't like about it is the timing belt situation
