You left out Cher, Al Pacino and Robert DiNero. They are all incredibly talented yet, shy in public. After watching this video, I'm quite proud to be an introvert. One thing that does annoy me is the fact that so many people are quick to assume that introverts are shy. I work in retail and I enjoy my customers but at the end of the day, I prefer to be alone and regroup. Luckily for me, my friends understand this.

@Dakotagirl823 Shyness is not really a general trait of Introverts, sure their are shy ones but their are also confident ones, modest ones, etc. Alot people mistake some introverts to be shy, when infact they could be very confident people, I consider myself a confident person however unlike alot of extroverts I only see the need to speak when I have something to actually say or converse, not repeat or talk about crap, and I'm sure thats the same with alot of extroverts.

I really hate it when there are people who try to make introverts feel guility about being introverts. I think they (some extroverts) end up being jealous of introverts because they would make friends but then loose them as soon as they make them for being too talkative to the point of being braggarts where as introverts would not make friends as quickly for being too quiet but then end up with friends that last for a very long time. I am glad/proud that I am an introvert.

what i have noticed, is that, on the outside, extoverts may seemingly have many friends, but in reality, their idea of a "friend" is much different from what we, introverts, call as friends. We have friends who we confide in and talk about deep issues that interest us. Extroverts usually have superficial friendships, people who they go to parties with and not establish any meaningful relation with the person.

I am proud to be an introvert in a society that praises extroverts. :)

@veronicachic What you're forgetting is that extroverted relationships are only "superficial" from the introverted perspective, because extroverts don't have such high friendship standards and consequently have a greater affinity for people in general. It's like when you were a kid and could form close bonds easily; they still meant a lot from your own perspective at that age. There's a big difference between an extrovert and someone who has relationships that THEY consider to be superficial.

After reading these comments, I can see who's an introvert and who's an extrovert. Extroverts don't seem to understand what it's like to be an introvert. I am an introvert. When I was a child, I was quite shy, but not with friends or family. I was very outgoing with them. Being an introvert, I've had my share of "what's wrong?" questions. I'm a listener, not a speaker. However, I am a teacher now, which may surprise people I went to school with.

@snarf66 You pretty much nailed it, I'm very much the same way, I'm an Introvert and my best friend and family member is an Extrovert, usually around new people he pretty much used to steal the show, But now when i meet new people I'm pretty much upfront about it with them and tell them I more like to talk about Ideas, concepts, or events instead of pop cultural small talk banter, They always come to me for advice or ideas.
