The smell of fireworks

I once built a simple power supply using three 1000uF electrolytic capacitors. When I turned it on, I noticed a bubble building up on one of the caps. It exploded and sent a drop of electrolyte towards my eyes. Fortunately, it did not blind me. I gave up on building power supplies since that time.

It felt like I was shot with a drop of liquid. I cleaned off the electrolyte immediately. Fortunately, there was no serious injury and no damage to the skin.

lucky for you. Some people got permanently blind for thier life.

YEP i tryed to charge a 400v 3900 uf cap with 500v dc and BOOM my nabors called the polese becouse it sounded like a gunshot

i ususlay use a 12v car battery for things liek this that need high current...Nice PSU i like it.
