Turning isn't hard in a rec. kayak. And mine goes pretty much straight all the time, I've had mine for a few years now and it's a perception Sundance, and it's really easy to turn and very easy to control.

I would not consider a 14',25" wide kayak a touring boat and with proper edging and strokes that "touring" boat can turn faster than the fat ones.

The title of this video should have been "If you buy a wider "recreational" boat then you wont have to worry about rolling over like those crazy helmet wearing waterfall kayakers."

A lot of people want to get a kayak but dont want to do all that whitewater x-games stuff. They just want to fish or mess about on a lake or pond.

This video was basically telling beginners "if you get a wider boat then its more stable but tracks poorly and is slower" Which is correct.
