Having been n Somalia during this time. I did multiple trips through the streets of Mogadishu with multiple marine attachments while waiting to be transported to my ship the USS Tripoli. I saw first hand the devastation. Bodies were everywhere, they made sand dunes out of them in mass graves. Blackhawk Down didn't even begin to touch base on what it was really like there.
