Das ist die brutalste und bescheurtste Coverversion, die ich seit langem gehört habe. Der Text ist brutal, der Gesang schlimm und dieser slawische Tuch passt zum Original überhaupt nicht. Eigentlich sollte man den Karel dafür einsperren, hinter einer schwarzen Tür meinetwegen, und den Schlüssel Keith Richards geben, der ihn dann pulverisiert und sich durch die Nase zieht.

Stimmt..... Karel rockt und Stones stehlen sich durch die graue Hintertür...Karel Gott.the best dark soul crooner on earth and the violins definitely rock and frighten .. At the end Karel (from 2:42 min.) kicks out/freaks out like Ozzy and Screaming Jay Hawkins or Scott Walker. He deserves / wears his name with pride....Oh GOTT!

I still can´t believe the German people like his music. I would say this was meant as a joke :D Probably just a few people outside central Europe know his mother tongue is czech. And the original czech songs are MUCH BETTER.

He was 2nd to Tom Jones at Midem music awards in '67 and received Golden Needle Award from Polydor which up until then had only ever been given to Leonard Bernstein and Herbert von Karajan. He started as a jazz musician playing bass and guitar. I remember him from Poland singing jazz with Jerzy Milian big band.

Du darfst alle Songs Covern solange du das eigentliche Lied nicht änderst wenn man 1 zu 1 den Text übernimmt darf man Rechtlich gesehen die Songs covern aber natürlich sollte man trotzdem ansagen was man covern will bei der Band.

No, he's Czech, but arguably had the most success while singing in german (like a lot of other well-known, originally non-German Schlager singers).
