Even though they started out as a fake band, you still have to admit that you can't take 4 guys, assemble them in Hollywood and expect to create a lasting love affair between members and the public that lasts for over 40 years. Where are New Kids on the Block, 2gether, Boys 2 Men, Backstreet Boys, etc? All that matters if the public likes the music regardless of how they got started. Hollywood stoked the Monkee flame but the members kept it alive even after Hollywood kicked them out.
great! i wish i could see him too, his voice is still the same. this make beleive group sure made beleivers out of us. some things are better if planned.
mickey can still sing...sounds friggin great...nice to see...looks like a geezer..but the voice is still there..funny though the monkees were a made up band..they could sing very very well..dolenz was..is an excellent vocalist...a horrible radio morning man dj though..his speaking voice sounds like a middle aged librarian woman...for real
Ashley Yours are better and a lot clearer than another one I viewed here and ya got more of Micky even the infamous Davy Joke he he ! I can never get enough of that one =)
Haha They did play "Gimme Some Lovin'"! But I didnt get that on tape. :[ I'm sorry. I really wish I did. It was great! And I love sharing these videos with everyone! I'm glad you enjoy them!!
It sounded like the band was going into "Gimme Some Lovin'" at the end of the clip there. I love that song and had heard that Micky did it at this show. Do you have a clip of the rest of it, NezHead66? Thanks again for sharing your concert experience and these wonderful clips with us! :)
How has he kept his voice for so many decades?

Nothing but love for Micky, the Monkees, & this song, but the snare drum here sounds like somebody hitting a table with a hammer.

Mickey never got the credit he deserved for being a great singer. He's got great tone, and a pretty high range.
