@rybec2 if the deer gets field dressed and ends up at the processor then it's hunting. The deer have no idea whether it was shot at 50 yards from a tree or 1/2 mile from a table, 30.06, .300WM, .308 or otherwise. Looks like meat's on the menu boys!!! I can shoot more deer at long range into a group than I can at 250 yds or less for sound, direction and visibilty reasons. 1 day, 4 deer. Get em' and go home.
both humans and animals have hunted for millions of years since the begining of time. so deal with it, its a part of life, it keeps the world alive by keeping a corect amount of everything on the planet and if people didnt hunt the animal population would "over flow" and theyd sufer from starvation. so deal with it, you damn hippies!!!!!!!!!
You have no right to insult these men. This is hunting, whether it is your style or not. I don't think you realize all the effort they put into this one single shot, let alone the kill. I am also an avid archerey hunter, and let me tell you, it's quite easy to kill a deer at 20 yards, but these men have accomplished something incredible. So to put it simply: Fuck Off
When you kill a deer, remember: A deer's family is all it has in life. So when you kill one... There are others missing it.
These animals, like humans, give MILK to their children. They're mammals.
They feel deeply, and their FAMILY BOND is all they have.
They don't have guns, video games, cell phones.
This is all they have in life, the bond with their family. While the hunter goes home and gets online, the family of this deer is still missing its deceased loved one.
with a gun in your hand you think you are heroes and you are just murderers, try removing the cap you in the ass so you get rid of the shit you have in mind!
Nice shooting boys! Even though I wouldn't call myself a hunter I still appreciate hunting and other "shooters" that can use a rifle out to ranges coming closer to it's maximum usable trajectory! Great video guys! keep em coming!
I hunt with a rifle. This seems a bit lazy to me and here is why. On my private land I get deer walking through it every day. They are so close that my scope is pretty much useless. The ammo I use is the cheapest and most inaccurate because they come so close it doesn't matter (saving money). We nickname the place "the petting zoo". I got 7 deer this year and I stopped only because I have nowhere left to put the meat!!
When I say your being a bit lazy you can believe it.

respect means nothing when you're killing someone's family member, your respect means SHIT to them, man. if you respect them, get people to stop killing and maiming them.
YOUR RESPECT MEANS NOTHING unless you SAVE their life, get it?
i hope you at least didnt waste all that meat; hope you ate all the deer. and i agree that this is not hunting. why dont you just get a spotting scope and shoot at targets?
Dont be proud of that guys. Please check your sights and crosswinds before shooting ("one shot") .Is it any wonder hunters are getting a bad reputation?
These guys are in Virginia. The hunting regulations allow 5-6 deer per year per person. You can also kill more deer that that on private land with permits. Deer are considered a varmint there. What these guys are doing there is not really any different than piosoning rats in the city.
I dont think of it as hunting.Hell,I would'nt know they were there if I was that far away also.I thunk that more than 200 yards you are just showing off and thats just not hunting. But thats just my opinion.
Great shots, but I hope they finished the ones they wounded, it seems they just waited for more to shoot at rather then track and finish. I believe if you shoot it you should use it and not to let it go and suffer. Hopefully they did. Looks like they shot 3 from the same stand without leaving. what was the time interval between the 3 deer? were the deer cut and drained so they did not spoil in time? Hope they are not being used as ground squirls for target practice only.
I hope you die in hell for killing an innocent DOMESTIC cat that probably wasn't doing anything to you. Cats are one of the nicest pets a person could have. I hope you die in a car crash or get hit by a bus you psycopathic maniac! GO TO HELL!!!!!
Too dangerous. While you focus in on the target you could get in a tunnel vision mode. I would be concerned if a person was walking through the field and got between the deer and the shooter. For military shooting fine, for deer hunting NOT. I am a hunter I just feel this video does not cut it.
these two guys are true southern gentleman and would give you the shirt off their back they also happento be the most deadly marksman ive ever seen and im well qualified to know one when i see one
idk how long that shot was. There was a hunting and fishing show called the great american outdoors or the great outdoors or something like that. anyway it came on in lik 1992. but the guy who did it Ron Shera . i went hunting with him and my dad and my dads friend and he shot a deer from 1420 yards away with a 300 black mamba windmag. hes awsome
What a pair of lazy mongrels, wheres the element of fair play and sportsmanship. How many animals are wounded before they hit one.Ban this form of hunting.
I respect a good marksman as much as next man, but a lot of the comments on here do have a point. It's not enough to know how to shoot, or at least it shouldn't be. Put a little more physical test to your game-getting abilities; and, if after tracking your game for a couple days you still feel like taking a distance shot, then more power to you for earning it.
You're a hunter, don't be afraid to get your hands dirty ;)
i agree but at the level these two gentleman shoot deer at normal range is not a sport ive seen both of them shoot one inch three shot groups at 300 yards with their blackpowder rifles no bull
Table optional since these guys are old and maybe can not go prone, but I prefer just to sit on my ass instead on a chair with a bipod... And to the antis just fuck off just think bout the slaughter houses instead of this...
holy lord, I know there's a rush to shooting stuff from ungodly distances, but a table? jesus. the truck is probably parked right behind them. Go home, open a tv dinner and go back to the range, because obviously you enmoy shooting more than hunting. Thats no sin, but if you hunt, at least respect the animal enough to exert some effort.
this is not hunting...there is no rush or buck fever...theres a table... grow a pair and get in the same damn woods as those deer not the next county over...and use a practical gun...this is fucking retarded
as hunters you should understand that different people get different things from hunting the two mongrels as you refer to the are two of the best marksman and sportsman on the planet they shoot that far to make it challenging their equipment is world class as the one speaking in the background has dozens of benchrest world records and i dare say at 800 yards they could out shoot their critics at 30 yards but they are hunters and we are all one team so dont hate. appreciate
i understand long range shooting and i think its great that they are that good with their rifles but to me hunting isnt shooting a deer from that far away. i guess if they use the meat and not just let em rot its all good
I completly agree with you but it must feel some good to take a deer down from 890 yards. But i suppose a simple target would produce the same feeling.
@jc0ol dude he is an old man... no offense to the film maker or the hunter.. he cant track for hours on end looking for the perfect buck.. now go find a video of handicapped children doing the same thing and talk shit obout them not walking and looking for a deer because they have leukemia or are paralyzed
When you kill a deer, remember: A deer's family is all it has in life. So when you kill one... There are others missing it.
These animals, like humans, give MILK to their children. They're mammals.

now if you were tracking throught hte mountains and actually had to compensate for minute of angle, wind adjustments, then yea it would be a little bit more difficult. im pretty sure it was already sighted in for this range. and you cant go wrong with a shmidt and bender scope. its what we use on our m40a3 sniper rifles in the marine corps. if you can get a hold of a gun that holds a minute of angle at 600 yards your doing ok. if it cna hold for 1000 like the m40a3 ur doing really good!
ya this is pretty fucking weak like I shot a quarter at 200 laying on my stomach, Like this is idc how far it is the gun is sitting on a rest and probably sighted in at that distance so they don't even have to worry about bullet drop compesition this is just stupid. Take it off
First, half a mile is a shot no matter what she says.
Second, a good stalker can get within spitting distance of deer. Yesterday I was seven FEET from a buck while scouting a nearby forest. The season is two weeks away, so I couldn't legally take him. But, I'll be back.
What makes me kinda chuckle is why the hell are they wearing camo. What purpose does it serve. Make you feel like your hunting. Any idiot can get within 800 yds of a deer. I know the shot is somewhat difficult but it aint archery. Come talk to me when you can get inside of 9 yds of a deer without them knowing your there and make the shot with a bow. Nice rifle though.
cuz when ur wearing a rainbow shirt makes u a bit easier to spot, and btw, if u get in a 9 yard radius near a deer let me know cuz it aint gonna happen
Took My six point last season at 8.5 yds. And a deer cannot make detail like a human body out past 200 yds. Do your research. I know a group of guys here in PA that sit out in lawn chairs and Flannel shirts and jeans and glass for deer and take turns shooting at 500 yds and the Fill their card every season in the first week.
If You can do this, please, keep the seacret. The greens are running ewerywhere. Thanks and I have to take my hat high! Nice shot. Good summer and have a nice huntingseason.
How many of these haters have ever been to a slaughter house, or even out of the city? I hunt, and cut meat for a living, and the horrors of a slaughter house are tragic even to me. I don't shoot at 890 yards, (my best was 502 yards} but I can appreciate the skill it requires. Why do people that don't like to see this, come to this video? Just to whine and bitch?
hey,,i have no problem with hunting,,i do so myself,,but with a shot at that distance do you really know whats behind your target at all times??could easily kill someone
fuckyou come to south american with a sig sauer 9mm we can give you a real opportunity to save your life , is very easy to shoot a deer come here to see your brave dealing with other people which have guns too equal opportunity
Give it a shot then if its not anywhere near real hunting. I suspect you'll change your attitude when you miss a few hundred times cause you havent the slightest clue what needs to happen to make a connection at 890 yards
i dnt think ur a hunter lol shooting long range is hunting in a way were im from sum of the big mule deer bucks in montana are impossible to get to and they r inpossible toreach because of the country thts why i own a mosin nagant m91/30 russian ww2 sniper rifle i use tht to take them along with elk and antelope from extreamly long distances and it is very challinging lol if u shot long range and were in the 1000 yard club ud no wht im tlkin bout
It is actually uncommon for deer to go down in their tracks when shot, must run 40-100 yards before expiring when hit well. I have shot three deer in the last two years, and only one of them dropped in its tracks, but all three where clean hits and i recover all of them, and am still eating venison.
HUNTERS ARE COWARDS. All sentient beings feel pain just as humans do. Think of what you have done to animals when bullets tear through their flesh and they don't die immediately. They feel that excruciating pain exactly as you would. Takes a big man to shoot an unsuspecting animal.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
A fat ass sat on a couch eating chips and shooting like a lazy tosser...this is usefull? Does it give you a hard on? You definitly are one big piece of shit , to just do stuff as coward as this...hunting is the favorite activity of weak and frustrated people , thinking that killing an innocent animal is a way to prove they have balls...Fucking morons.
My spelling? Why would I you totally understood what I meant.
English isn't my mother tongue , you want us to talk in another language to see who makes the more spelling mistakes? you have the choice : Spanish , French , Italian , Finnish , I let you choose !
Shooting for fun is wasteful and destructive to the natural resources, although hunting for food is alright. Respecting the land and its resources is definately important! I agree with you there. Everyone I know who hunts respects the hunters code "Eat what you hunt".
I find it to be much more natural to hunt your own food rather than buy some cut that was a cow raised with hormones to be slaughtered and packaged and then sent to your local grocer.
Not a big fan of the bench cheater!!! Get out and hunt! Us a sling and get into a good shooting position.

To everyone who says its not hunting, maybe you are right.
Maybe you should stalk closer, that would be fairer
Maybe you should only carry one round, that would be fairer.
Maybe you should only use iron sights, that would be fairer.
Maybe you should use a muzzle loader that would be fairer.
Maybe any firearm makes it too easy. Use a bow that would be fairer
But not a modern compound, it has to be a primitive bow you made yourself
The first cave men didnt have bows though, use a spear

These animals, like humans, give MILK to their children. They're mammals.
They feel deeply, and their FAMILY BOND is all they have.
They don't have guns, video games, cell phones.
This is all they have in life, the bond with their family. While the hunter goes home and gets online, the family of this deer is still missing its deceased loved one.

respect means nothing when you're killing someone's family member, your respect means SHIT to them, man. if you respect them, get people to stop killing and maiming them.
YOUR RESPECT MEANS NOTHING unless you SAVE their life, get it?

i hope you at least didnt waste all that meat; hope you ate all the deer. and i agree that this is not hunting. why dont you just get a spotting scope and shoot at targets?

@buckman1967, try hunting 600 and 700 yard bean feilds, and then tell me over 200 yards is showing off.
Brassknuckledude 2 years ago
These guys are in Virginia. The hunting regulations allow 5-6 deer per year per person. You can also kill more deer that that on private land with permits. Deer are considered a varmint there. What these guys are doing there is not really any different than piosoning rats in the city.
nickydugan 2 years ago
I dont think of it as hunting.Hell,I would'nt know they were there if I was that far away also.I thunk that more than 200 yards you are just showing off and thats just not hunting. But thats just my opinion.
buckman1967 2 years ago
Great shots, but I hope they finished the ones they wounded, it seems they just waited for more to shoot at rather then track and finish. I believe if you shoot it you should use it and not to let it go and suffer. Hopefully they did. Looks like they shot 3 from the same stand without leaving. what was the time interval between the 3 deer? were the deer cut and drained so they did not spoil in time? Hope they are not being used as ground squirls for target practice only.

Too dangerous. While you focus in on the target you could get in a tunnel vision mode. I would be concerned if a person was walking through the field and got between the deer and the shooter. For military shooting fine, for deer hunting NOT. I am a hunter I just feel this video does not cut it.

What a pair of lazy mongrels, wheres the element of fair play and sportsmanship. How many animals are wounded before they hit one.Ban this form of hunting.
brob252525 2 years ago
I respect a good marksman as much as next man, but a lot of the comments on here do have a point. It's not enough to know how to shoot, or at least it shouldn't be. Put a little more physical test to your game-getting abilities; and, if after tracking your game for a couple days you still feel like taking a distance shot, then more power to you for earning it.
You're a hunter, don't be afraid to get your hands dirty ;)
amongsttrees 2 years ago
i agree but at the level these two gentleman shoot deer at normal range is not a sport ive seen both of them shoot one inch three shot groups at 300 yards with their blackpowder rifles no bull

hunting?? what a joke
jtblack1414 2 years ago
Table optional since these guys are old and maybe can not go prone, but I prefer just to sit on my ass instead on a chair with a bipod... And to the antis just fuck off just think bout the slaughter houses instead of this...
KnightKiller1000 2 years ago
you call that hunting? sit out in the woods or field and get a close shot
sportfish100 2 years ago
holy lord, I know there's a rush to shooting stuff from ungodly distances, but a table? jesus. the truck is probably parked right behind them. Go home, open a tv dinner and go back to the range, because obviously you enmoy shooting more than hunting. Thats no sin, but if you hunt, at least respect the animal enough to exert some effort.

02lb72500HD 2 years ago
as hunters you should understand that different people get different things from hunting the two mongrels as you refer to the are two of the best marksman and sportsman on the planet they shoot that far to make it challenging their equipment is world class as the one speaking in the background has dozens of benchrest world records and i dare say at 800 yards they could out shoot their critics at 30 yards but they are hunters and we are all one team so dont hate. appreciate
retsel99 2 years ago
i understand long range shooting and i think its great that they are that good with their rifles but to me hunting isnt shooting a deer from that far away. i guess if they use the meat and not just let em rot its all good
02lb72500HD 2 years ago
@jc0ol
I completly agree with you but it must feel some good to take a deer down from 890 yards. But i suppose a simple target would produce the same feeling.
murray4564 1 year ago
@jc0ol dude he is an old man... no offense to the film maker or the hunter.. he cant track for hours on end looking for the perfect buck.. now go find a video of handicapped children doing the same thing and talk shit obout them not walking and looking for a deer because they have leukemia or are paralyzed

stayonthefarm 2 years ago 23
now if you were tracking throught hte mountains and actually had to compensate for minute of angle, wind adjustments, then yea it would be a little bit more difficult. im pretty sure it was already sighted in for this range. and you cant go wrong with a shmidt and bender scope. its what we use on our m40a3 sniper rifles in the marine corps. if you can get a hold of a gun that holds a minute of angle at 600 yards your doing ok. if it cna hold for 1000 like the m40a3 ur doing really good!

I'm gonna have to speak for and against Amanda.
First, half a mile is a shot no matter what she says.
Second, a good stalker can get within spitting distance of deer. Yesterday I was seven FEET from a buck while scouting a nearby forest. The season is two weeks away, so I couldn't legally take him. But, I'll be back.
haroldjcallahan 2 years ago
i hate hunters that think it isnt hunting when theyre engaged at over 400 m. That all im going to say.
YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 2 years ago
What makes me kinda chuckle is why the hell are they wearing camo. What purpose does it serve. Make you feel like your hunting. Any idiot can get within 800 yds of a deer. I know the shot is somewhat difficult but it aint archery. Come talk to me when you can get inside of 9 yds of a deer without them knowing your there and make the shot with a bow. Nice rifle though.
flingin2amanda 2 years ago
cuz when ur wearing a rainbow shirt makes u a bit easier to spot, and btw, if u get in a 9 yard radius near a deer let me know cuz it aint gonna happen
inferiusnl 2 years ago
Took My six point last season at 8.5 yds. And a deer cannot make detail like a human body out past 200 yds. Do your research. I know a group of guys here in PA that sit out in lawn chairs and Flannel shirts and jeans and glass for deer and take turns shooting at 500 yds and the Fill their card every season in the first week.
flingin2amanda 2 years ago
And Im willing to bet that even with 20/20 vision, inferiusnl couldnt make out my outline at 800 yds much less what shirt Im wearing

Small minded Americans shooting defenceless creatures - typical. The one you hit but got away - what is supposed to happen to that now?
retardedexpressions 2 years ago
It is actually uncommon for deer to go down in their tracks when shot, must run 40-100 yards before expiring when hit well. I have shot three deer in the last two years, and only one of them dropped in its tracks, but all three where clean hits and i recover all of them, and am still eating venison.

HUNTERS ARE COWARDS. All sentient beings feel pain just as humans do. Think of what you have done to animals when bullets tear through their flesh and they don't die immediately. They feel that excruciating pain exactly as you would. Takes a big man to shoot an unsuspecting animal.

Shooting for fun is wasteful and destructive to the natural resources, although hunting for food is alright. Respecting the land and its resources is definately important! I agree with you there. Everyone I know who hunts respects the hunters code "Eat what you hunt".

How about just buying the ones that are in shops and butchers. If we all hunted there'd be no butcchers and no animals.
