  • Nice remake as it added a bit light-hearted feeling to an emotional song, yet there're subtleties need to be improved.

  • really good in english version!!!but I think that the japanese version is more beautifull.by the way thanks for posting!!!

  • Spitz sings it much better. Ouch suck. It wont sound good in English, only good in Japanese

  • What is this semi-Pet shop boys like band! terrible arrangement! It's not the language that is not suited, but couldn't it be better arrangement in terms of sound...

  • ohhh.. 90s style. not bad

  • feels like old beatles song..but still good to me

  • Although the lyrics in English is different, I should say that I like this version as much as I like the original song.('',)

  • Although the lyrics are totally different from the original Japanese version, I should say that I like this one is not bad at all.

  • Drums are bad, bass is poor (just listen de original version), drums are bad, vocals lack feeling, drums are REALLY bad.... the original melody is totally lost, this version is empty, without feeling at all...

This is just a bad Beatles imitation...

  • the English language butchered the intensity of the song!

  • Who is this Band ?

  • this sounds more like a Beetles song.

its nice but, and i'm not trying to compare the two, not as moving as the Spitz version. i imagine this more as a song to play while driving thru the country with the top down.

  • good point and i agree

    nice version tho

  • I like the lyrics

  • I`ve recently heard a version with a female vocalist.

  • the drums are so electric and harsh... the lyrics are clumsy with only a vague touch on some superficial feelings...

the voice is also struggling on some of those high notes...

i prefer the original, but have tried giving this one a chance... it's a completely different song, and evokes a different feeling altogether...

  • Lyrics are different. Japanese version.

It is a different thing. All.

  • You may love the original version, but you can't just ignore this one, we are SPITZ fans. This is a great song... Nice Attempt for this one. ^_^

  • It sounds okay but his voice sad to say sounds ugly during the chorus.

  • just doesn't sound the same as the Japanese version. I love the original version and I dont even know japanese...

    :)

  • If you compare this version with the original one, then you're missing the point and you're keeping yourself from enjoying the beauty of this take. Simply beautiful.

  • i dont get it from 1:39-1:42...

    pls help...

  • Very Nice my friend, I'm a huge fan of Spitz, and this is a respectable attempt .

  • Sounds like the beatles sang it! Still, it still a good song!

  • an awesome version too! sweet.

  • okay..sound funny at certain parts. the impression was like it is sung by a British old school band. does the English version song meanings still the same as the Japanese version?

  • When I was in Japan last year, I heard an English version of Robinson, but it wasn't this. It had a female vocalist.

Does anyone know what I heard?

曲名は「 It could have been me.」

  • This is a good song. I enjoy both English and Japanese. so soothing... heehee ^^

  • wow this song sucks in english :( I like the japanese version

  • I like both, of course the Japanese is better.

  • For as long as they're (Spitz) the ones who did the translation, we're not in a position to judge. Only they would know how they felt while writing it, so instead of the words being translated, the feelings were being translated into expressions to which the english-speaking audiences can hopefully relate(as only the Japanese can fully relate to their lyrics). Just think of it as another original. Directly translating the lyrics would make it sound a bit awkward. It's still good anyways. :P

  • Totally. :P

  • even though I dont understand a word in japanese, I really prefer the japanese version, the english is not cool at all :)

  • English version

  • wow, they totally screwed up the second part of the chorus

"ookii na chikara de sora ni ukabetara

rurara uchuu no kaze ni noru"

    means:

"if we float up to the sky with great power, lulala, we'll ride on the winds of the universe"

and those are the lyrics i can translate for sure myself, and the rest of it just doesn't sound right (sang and translated this song for a japanese project)

good try though, at least the beat was still right

  • I don't know...ロビンソン ranks on my top 10 list of Best Spitz song...I would reserve my judgement on this.

  • it nice but i like more spitz...but good job....keep the good work

If it is possible to understand for the meaning of lyrics, it is good in it.

  • WHAT THE~~~~HAHA~~

  • who did this song?...

    just curious...

  • wait is the japanese version a remake or this english version?

  • Japanese is original language....English version is sooooooooo weird..........

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is wierd. I like it though.

*writes the english lyrics down and sings it with the original music*

    yey :3

  • try again, guys. -__-!!!

I'd rather listen to Kusano-san, even if his english might have Japanese-accent.

  • not bad but its hard to beat spitz lea vocals

  • heh.....w/e

its ok i guess i still like d spitz version

  • beatles?duh.

    spoiled spitz! damn it

  • It's not that bad come on!

  • @Karinui

Sadly, to a Spitz fan, it is :( Spitz is a really, really tight band and this song practically captures the best of them. This cover doesn't come up to par. Not by a long shot.

  • ew. ew. ew.

what is this remake thing even called?

  • this is f*ing terrible

  • does anyone have lyrics or anything else for this song? I love it (as well as the original), but can't understand some of the words... plus I'd like to know more about the band. thanks!

  • Absolutely no relation to the original lyrics... Interesting cover, though...

  • Interesting cover, has more of an 80's rock feel to it.

  • This is not Spitz. Covered by Ouch!

  • Really? Didn't know that.. Thanks!

  • is Ouch! the band who sings the engilsh robinson

  • Yes, it is. Although I don't know well, they are the band of UK and this song was used for the commercial of beer in Japan.

Song title is "It could have been me".

  • do you know the lyrics?

  • this is aweful
