  • That stud is beautiful!!

  • Superb, the longest mating. All 36 smooth SHOTS without a single interrruption.

  • @pfizerfiroz lol u actually counted?

  • Hobble's are used to make sure that the mare doesn't injure the stallion if she kicks out and twitches are used to relax a horse. None of these are cruel; they don't hurt them. I'm 14 too and I do know a fair bit about breeding as I go to a yard where they breed horses, even if it is as 'nature intended'. I think this is fine and you may say that because of my age i don't know much- thats your opinion; don't know me, don't judge me

  • poor horse :(:(

  • The twitch was highly unnecessary! I dont see the point of using one anyway there is no need, just let the horses do it naturally and you wont have any problems. Plus the stallion is beautiful but he is too big for that poor mare. She could wind up having problems foaling. This is very NO highly cruel for all animals to be breed this way. Im am strongly against this so who ever reads this and is out there doing this they better knock it off right now!! }:(

  • @HaileyFluff11 I know, people son't seem to realise that horses breed all on their own in the wild without the help of humans!! they say it's to protect the mare/stallion but it's crap they can do it themselves with no intervention! When you breed horses I think they should be put alone together in a field, as if the mare is in heat and is ready they will breed, no problems (:

  • Parecendo a mãe de um amigo meu

    kkkkkkk

  • none of that crap is needed if they just wait til shes in freaking heat

  • @ledariustremayne09 She wouldn't get pregnant if she wasn't in heat. Horses have something called a "foal heat" where a mare comes into heat right after foaling. From the look of her babies age they are probably trying to re-breed her during her foal heat. They reason they have to hobble and twitch her is because most mares don't let stallions breed them in their foal heat because the breeding process could be dangerous to the baby.

  • @princesskirara true, but they shouldn't' breed her right after she's just had a foal, she should be given a break. And none of that stuff is needed, they breed in the wild just fine

  • @McLeod203 Just because I described what they where doing doesn't mean I agree with it. (you shouldn't make assumptions that just because someone knows what something is that they do it and or agree with it; in my 15 years of breeding horses I have never bred back on a foal heat.)

  • @princesskirara I'm sorry if I offended you, but I didn't say you had, I was simply stating my opinion on the matter, as it makes me angry how irresponsible breeders treat mares like they are machines.

  • @McLeod203 yes, well seeing as your only 14 years old I can tell you right now that your really don't know much at all about raising and breeding horses because you have never done it. If your were the owner of this mare or stallion and had to actually PAY real hard money you would not want to take the risk of having them injured or not get bred by letting them loose in a pasture that is simply not the way it is done. A mare does not need " a break" that is why she comes into heat.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Actually I know someone who owns and runs a stud. Yes, she comes into heat, so she will accept a male is she is ready. The stud I know leave them out together, and the mare gets pregnant. How do you think horses breed in the wild?? Don't see many injuries from breeding do you. It's just an excuse. Okay put them on a lead rope, but no need for a twitch or a hobble, that is actually putting the mare at rick of injuring herself.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Horses can breed just fine on their own, why don't you look up some videos on youtube. And the part where you say the mares don't need a break, I am talking about foal heat, where a mare will not naturally accept a stallion in the wild, she needs a break to bring up her foal and not become pregnant straight away.

  • @McLeod203 Obviously horses can breed on there own. there is no need to even point that out. your incorrect about breeding a mare immediately after she foals for many breeders that is the customary time to breed back. how much do you think the stud in this video is worth to the owner? Since you have no comprehension yet about what it is like to pay for and maintain something like that your opinion doesn't mean much. realize that being 14yrs old means you have a lot to learn about everything.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway So I'm 14, I know about horses and I know they cost a lot to maintain. And often mares are unwilling to breed in their foal heat, and breeders who use it just want to churn out foals and make as much money as possible, without considering the strain it could have on the mare's body. And anyway, why is hobbling a mare anything to do with cost, it is un-neccesary, as you say horses can breed on their own, there is no need for all the intervention.

  • @McLeod203 I'm glad your interested in horses. Stick with learning about handling, training and working with them and you will be a better person for it. The reason for the hobbles is simple. It is because there is a chance the stud could be injured. Why take that chance? There IS need for intervention that is what owning and raising horse is about. If people did not intervene with them they would just be running wild on there own and you would not be riding them.

  • @McLeod203 we as owners and breeders are responsible for their health and well being. Does it look like the people in this video look irresponsible? No, in fact it looks like a very reputable establishment working with standard practice and safety. Have some respect for them. If you were to investigate exactly how this facility operated I am sure you would enjoy and learn something. Hobbling a mare is not inhumane it is simply for safety. When a stud is worth many dollars this is standard.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway These people don't actually look that responsible, the stallion looks quite dirty and having a young foal loose is not exactly safe. But I still believe that hobbling is not helping, it is not comfortable for the mare, and how is it safer? If a mare is ready for breeding she will not try and injure a stallion..But anyway let's leave it at that...everyone has different opinions..

  • @McLeod203 OK leave it at that then. I should tell you that my wife and I are veterinarians and have our own veterinary clinic. I have seen and been to more horse training and breeding facilities then you ever will in your lifetime, including some of the most elite in Kentucky USA and France. Hobbling a mare for breeding is not inhumane it is for safety. If you do not know why the this is something you need to figure out. Everyone has opinions, but some are wrong.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Okay, I just like it natural that's all. Cool I want to be a vet too (:

  • @McLeod203 If you want to be a veterinarian then keep studying and never tire of learning. Your at a point in your life when you can make this happen if you work at it. Realize that you need to do a lot of work and keep studying. You will need to work very hard at it, and if your serious about it you should find a veterinarian near you and see if you can go along with them for a few days to see what it is really like and what is involved.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Yeah, I know it's loads of work, and I'm planning to go and do some work experience soon, I've wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember, I'm absolutely obsessed with animals. And I know it's a 6 year course but I'm willing to do it (:

  • 0:54 Safety Check

  • Twitch NOT NESSASARY.Cruel

  • Im with the unessasary use of a Twitch in mating,no need for it,the poor mare was hobbled as well. treating them like that is not right,
