Noooo, you do NOT want to feed them mice, its bad for them and could possibly cause death. Same with tarantulas, trust me I've been handling arachnids for about 7 years now.
@Brock1599 Coco fiber is appropriate for the emperor scorpion's rain forest habitat, however it is hard to clean when wet. However, Coco fiber relatively easy to clean, although it sometimes possesses a strong scent.
My emperor scorpion was holding onto a cricket the other day and the cricket did away with its own legs and tried to run away. He chased after the damn thing out of his hide and grabbed it by its thorax before it could get too far away.
how come i have to hand feed my 2 emps? when ever i put a cricket in the cage, the dont even go for it, much as look at it! i've tried not feeding them for a couple days, but they still behave the same way and therefore i must do the dangerous task of hand feeding them! PLEASE HELP!!!
@TheArmageddonDonkey Even after mastery, feeding an emperor scorpion is difficult, most likely because of their lack of appetite. Since emperor scorpions are nocturnal, try feeding your emperor scorpions at night. Since you've probably noticed that emperors don't usually chase after their prey, try herding or chasing your crickets toward your scorpion's pincers with either a pencil or tweezers. If your scorpion doesn't pick up its prey, or drops it, try holding the cricket above its mouth.

Pandinus Imperator, or Emperor Scorpion is also one of the largest Scorpions, reaching over 9 inches in length.
