  • Such a lovely song, lol.

  • I love this song...

  • My wife and I used this as the first dance at our wedding, classic stuff!

  • MaryJo is very cool. Very talented and bright.

  • My loving love for this lovely song is such a lovely loving love.

  • Let's watch, won't we?

  • BBW.

  • I liked the part when she said "love".

  • It's Lovely

  • How can a woman so evil, have such a lovely voice?

  • I really DO want to hear Bobo sing Heat of the Moment.

  • @KingSnarf LOLOLOL me too!

And now you find yourself in '82!!!

  • this was one of the better sci fi era sketches, but you have to admit that they just didn't seem to care about sketches the way they did on the comedy channel. for the most part.

  • "I really do like pie"

  • Glad I found this on youtube. Love this.

  • I love the smattering of applause when Brain Guy comes out, Pearl's huge press-on nails, lustrous love must rise, basically everything about this sketch.

  • she kneed him in the heat of the moment! (don't hit!)

  • Torgo and the Master's wedding song...

  • The slightly confused look on Pearl's face in that photo really makes the sketch for me.

  • Redundant host segment is redundantly funny.

  • The knee to the skull is perfect

  • You could it was the Heat of the Moment when Pearl kneed Bobo in the face.

  • *holds up lighter*

  • I like pie too!

    :-)

  • The lyrics to this are hilarious!

"And loving lovers love as loving lovers love!"

  • I love it when the audience claps when Brain Guy comes on stage....funny.....oh and the nails....great.

  • Is it just me or is this an amazing song?? I sense the hand of Michael J Nelson in there! Then the lines 'I really do like pie' and ' I know a couple of guys' crack me up so much!

  • Aw man I wish there were a karaoke version of this.

  • pearl is awesome lol i have a copy of the dvds but wish they'd release the hole series

  • what kind of microphones are those?

  • @bastlake after determining it wasn't a painted prop (it has labeling), it isn't white but rather beige and noticing it doesn't have a professional XLR cord hanging from it (the kinks in it are the giveaway), i determined it's a Labtec AM-22 computer microphone- an $8 junk microphone! full audio nerd in that answer.

  • @rollerskater haha, good eye, well done :)

  • BUT THEN! It's GONE! (looks abruptly into the camera! LOLOL

  • LOL Brain Guy out of nowhere

  • Bobo should've kept going!

IT WAS THE HEEEEAT OF THE MOMENT

  • I played this for my parents and they didn't laugh. Where did I go wrong?!

  • @Donionbubs Every time I try to show anyone any rifftrax or mst3k clips they never laugh. They don't even try to. They just don't get it I guess.

  • I <3 Bill Corbett.

  • When I first saw this many months ago, I almost died from laughter.

  • Over 1/5 of this song is either love or a variation of it!!!!

  • I believe in Pearl/Brain Guy!

  • @JoelandtheBots Impossible. He is utterly and completely... without a body.

  • I think they could make it work....somehow...

  • @corazondfuego

I dunno, given fanfic writers and shippers these days...

  • She'll have to grow a penis first...

  • Great spoof on those pledges put on by PBS...the Permently Broke Station!

  • Why do I see Wendy and her nameless bride singing this?

  • Bravo!

  • I always find myself singing this and not even realizing it. Love this song lol

  • @wakingpoofer OMG me too!!! I get the strangest looks from my friends! LOL

  • Ha ha, after seeing this episode, I'm a huge supporter of Pearl/Brain Guy :D

  • One of my favorite moments from mst3k ever.

  • Same here.

  • I've allways loved Mary Jo, she and her characters remind me so much of my mom XD

  • And now, a very special preview of a special Pledge Week special...

  • how many times did they use the word 'love'

  • Woo! I love Bobo's attempts at sing Asia songs. "Heat of the Moment" in this episode. And his Trumpeting the opening of "Only Time Will Tell" at the end of "Riding With Death" (look it up).

They also sing Asia songs at the end of "Puma Man".

    Someone must've really liked Asia.

  • I totally want to dance to this at my wedding.

  • lol i luv when Bobo tries to sing at the end..

  • Especially cos Kevin Murphy can actually sing really well... He's hiding it well! X]

  • "Hey, I can sing too!", haha

  • this is such a great song.i love when she looks dead into the camera, and then the observer just strolls out lol.

And i agree with a poster below,i wonder how many times they had to do this, especialy when they get like three inches away from each others face.I know if my friend and i did that wed be bursting into laughter

But i love this.Pearl is a surprisingly good singer.

    "the lovely,leggy,pearl forrester"

HEY I CAN SING TOO"And you find yourself in '82

  • I really can't say why

    I really do like pie

I know a couple of guys

    They really do like pie

Never fails to crack me up.

  • I feel like this was inspired by a Celine Dion song.

  • This sketch is one of the main reasons that I never understood the people who claimed the Sci-Fi era host segments were in some way weaker.

Everything about this is perfect, from the music to the lyrics to the performances of Bill and Mary Jo. (It ALWAYS kills me when she looks straight at the camera earnestly with "It's Love!" at 0:52 and "But Then!" at 1:01.)

  • @doggans it's never cool to like the newer stuff from anything,,, I really like this song,,,and pie,,, Yeah for Mary Jo, Kevin, and Bill,

  • @doggans Agree. I love the Comedy central era, but the Sci-fi era was just as good. Plus the robots and clay figures puppet show from Screaming Skull remains my favorite host sketch ever.

  • brilliant

  • the best part of this entire video is the "golden, shimmering" lines where their faces get close. it's just so classic! thanks for putting this up!

  • this is just pure genius. i love everything about this song, i watch it every few days, LOL.

  • One of the reasons Pearl is my favourite Mad. None of the other ones could've sung this song. <3

  • I don't know... Dr. Forrester and Frank singing it could have been magic as well.

  • This is a great song! The lyrics are hysterically stupid and funny, but the tune is very nice.

  • I always wonder how many times they have to do this scene - when they're staring into each others' eyes...I would have lost it LOL

  • Pie!

  • "go to the pie line!" - bill corbett

    lol

  • Pearl is HOT...

  • love this song lol

  • Up there with the best songs from this show, and that's saying alot. I've heard so many crap songs that this is based on, and this is ten times more entertaining...if I ever get married, I want this sung there....

  • Rock on! Thank you!

  • I realy like pie

    I know a cople guys

    they realy like pies

  • "and now you find yourself in 82!" *thump*

  • I concur!

  • the best song they ever did!

  • It's in the top three with To Earth and A Patrick Swayze Christmas, for sure.

  • I LOVE THIS ONE! OMG

  • would've loved to hear the rest of Professor Bobo's cover of Asia.

  • "When loving lovers love."

God, I love this skit. It was my second favorite host moment - the first being when Crow and Servo put on a clay figure show to work out their anger at the robot-murders in a Gumby short. Hee!
