This is the old bar Vasily Alexeev lited 501lbs in 1970 with,bars after were much easyer to clean.

@cypionate011 No, here are alexeeve numbers:Snatch - 413lb. - 187.5kg, (1975)CLEAN and Press 230kg - 507lb., 1971 C & J - 518 in 1972 (it was the last event after 3 snatch, 3 C & P and 3 C & J, this guy, no doubt very strong, is at NOT alexeev league) his C & J record was 256kg (564lb) set in 1975 bar is the same bar for lifting forever(since 1932 olympics when sin sleeve tech was introduced)

Koklyaev is stronger , but would not even MEDAL in OL in 72/76 much less match alexeeve

@aram34 no facts, just rumours, plus most Olympic lifters can Do behind the neck jerks w/ 10-15% more then in front, that strength exercise build stabilization to hold bar overhead and slightly back

+ heard about aguy that told me about a guy that does that with 500kg...
