I really got into it I'm a HUGE fan of the original...I thought that it was too futuristic, and Speed was not very similar to the anime, but there were a few scenes where Trixie was really in character. Rex Racer was perfect I think.

I recently bought the DVD...Speed Racer = one of the best movies I've seen EVER. I can see why many people didn't like it. But in my opinion, IT.FUCKING.ROCKED. The action was superb, the fight scenes were hilariously epic, and the visuals (Oh my god, the colors *drool*) were spectacular! I've only had the DVD for about 2 days, but I've watched it at least 10 times. It's that good (in my opinion). I've watched a few episodes of the show as a kid, but now I want to see the entire series.
