Just because it LOOKS the same as Apollo doesn't mean it will perform the same.
The new LM is bigger. Plus, it has different modes; the week long stay version, an outpost version for a 6 month stay, and a cargo version to do what you suggest to do.
I love these Nasa videos!! They need to stop wasting money on SOME, not all, of these unmanned missions and focus on getting people "out there". My reasoning is that when the $100,000,000 satellite on the 12 mile tether broke loose they just shrugged and said it was beautiful. Never recovered and there is more money wasted because they don't worry about the loss of a robot. If a human was in the chair they seem to be more thoughtful about safety. Cool vid!!
This video was amazing, I can't wait to see these rockets in action, from what I can see the first test launch of an Ares I rocket is going to be in July!
They usaly stay for only 1day or less this mission is a year

they need landing vehicles that will help to carry more hardware down to the surface.
