  • Damn, that was a workout-

    time for some TWINKIES.

  • update on the $75 Hammond M3 w/ 'built in Leslie'. Oops, it's actually not a Leslie switch there it's a pre-set after market device made by a Santa Monica, California based company in the 60's and 70's named 'Electro-Tone'. The pre-set kit was sold as either a single rotary selector or a dual. My newly acquired 58' M3 has the Duet-Sixteen selector. Organforums has a nice thread with links. This 58' looks and plays excellent BTW.

For a pseudo Leslie tone put the far right VIB sw. in the center.

  • I love your playing! I am learning theater styles and see from your video that an M3 is very acceptable for playing in this genre. Good job.

...as far as the craigslist formula for finding an M3 over a 30 day period for less than $300? Well, since I wrote that last comment 2 months ago there have been 3 Hammond M3's go for under $200 here in Columbus, Ohio. One went for $100 and tomorrow I am picking up a beautiful M3 with a built in Leslie for $75! It looks exactly like yours- same color. Yr?

  • You do that M3 justice! Great playing and a true inspiration for anyone who thinks they must go and buy an expensive organ. The M3 was the most abundantly purchased and played organ of all time. Even now here in the U.S.A. if you look on Craigslist over a one month period you can find one either free or for less than $300. I bought a 1956 M3 for $25 from a Salvation Army ten years ago. Three years prior to this, and before I played the organ, there was a B3 and Leslie there for $600. Lucky some1
