As for the rest. Yes, you are somewhat graded on the topics of your work (this is worldwide), and there are a few civil liberties in the U.S. that have been lost, but again, that doesn't explain why healthy young people decide to murder their school mates, sometimes close personal friends, and themselves. Quite a few spree killers are known to have said that they did it for "fun." Some give a reason, but it's never logical or sensible. Others give no reason. Perhaps you are mistaken NYanarchy08.
its actually Canada that has more guns per household then the US, differences is there are A LOT of idiots in. Not to mention gangs and drug cartels that pays a part of it. None of these exist anywhere in places like Canada, there aren't as many guns in Brazil but their murder rate is one of the highest in the world. Shootings are rare, they are mostly isolated incidents that always seem to happen in the suburbs.
uhhh that's not true. Montreal is one of the largest headquarters for the Hells Angels and the US as more guns per house hold. almost 3X more then Canada
forcing kids to attend schools against there wishes in itself is an insane act. I never actually remember the government ever actually asking me what kind of life would i like to live but know they just force you to attend this rotten shithole prison like institutions. I see no real spiritual value in alot of what you learn at school. People will fight back when forced to live against there wishes. it's not like these places hold any value
The USA isn't the only country with a lot of guns. These massacres happen because the school system oppresses and alienates students who don't assimilate to society. And when they snap, the paranoia and security increases, making a whole new batch of terrorists. It's a brutal cycle that will never change unless students are given their basic human rights to freedom and dignity.
@NYanarchy08 Agreed, it's just like the middleschool kid in japan who cut off his classmate's head and put it at the front gate in a bag. High nail gets hammered down and all, but sometimes the hammer slips.
@NYanarchy08 There's nothing in your statement that makes sense. Students have basic human rights, freedom and dignity. As a counter argument, there was a series of shootings in the late sixties and early seventies by police and military that supports your claim, but that was 40 years ago. Today, the problem is media sensationalism and bulleying, and sometimes political. People become dissolutioned and or suicidal, and decide to kill others (and sometimes self) because they want to inflict pain.
@diodorus4 How can you possibly think that students have basic human rights? They can't say, write, go or sometimes even wear what they choose, and if they choose not to attend school, they are forced to by the police. School libraries are routinely censored, security cameras monitor everything, and lockers/backpacks/clothes can be searched with "reasonable suspicion" instead of probably cause. Not to mention the overuse of psychiatric drugs. What YOU said makes no sense.
@NYanarchy08 Yes, but the reasons you mentioned have never been attributed to a school shooting, with the exception of maybe Columbine, where drugs were administered to Eric Harris, which was thought to have contributed "increased aggression, loss of remorse, depersonalization and mania." But that doesn't explain the actions of Dylan Klebold. There is the case of Steven Phillip Kazmierczak at Northern Illinois University, but that was thought to be the result of him not taking his medication.
@diodorus4 Just because the media never blamed it doesn't mean it's not true. After all, if we were building all of our theories off the "official explanation," it would be some crazy shit like video games and evolution. But use your common sense. You stuff hundreds of kids in a building every day with no free will or control over their own lives, tell them to shut up and deal with it, and how can we be surprised when some lash out?
@NYanarchy08 I can't comment on the conditions that you describe. Yes, there are some paralells with orwell in our society, but most people that read are aware of this. Classic misanthropy and dissolutionment are much more plausible factors. And when the spree killers make referances to eachother in letters and on video, we call that a pandemic, not mearly "lashing out," agreed? You may be right. I still don't follow your logic. Maybe they had small penises or something...

@diodorus4 Misanthropy? Small penises? What the hell are you talking about? Sexual frustration has nothing to do with this. Kids get beaten down figuratively by school system and literally by their classmates, and they're twisted by loneliness and hatred until they can't see any other way to fight back. It's as simple as that. It's so obvious that the only reason I can think of for why people haven't said so already is that they don't want to acknowledge that our schools are such a mess.
lol it's your government the problem invading other countries and teaching their citizens violence.
Americans are obsessed with violence and guns, look at the movies.
i rather get weed legalized than fuckin' guns.
guns have a purpose to hurt or kill people you know, doesn't matter who pulls the trigger. usa is only country in world with those ideas towards guns because it is weird and strange and it will change just like in my country, in finland and many others after shootings.
Killing teachers is a marvellous thing to do- hope they burn in hell.
