  • i love this song..

where can i get the score/sheet music..?

i have tried to find it on google...there is nothing..

  • I'm sorry everyone I showed this to my grandma and she miss-clicked dislike :(

  • Crazy... Weird... but: WOW!!!!!!

  • this IS AMAZING.. I GOT TO HEAR THE USF CHAMBER SINGER SING THIS.. OMGFG... THE MOST AMAZING THING!!!

  • We sang, this song, I can assure you that it is twice the experiance of just listening to it. =)

  • We were actually allowed to find our own moments of going to the next note. Our own abstract interpretation.. or well.... of our conductor =)

The cool thing about that is that it's a different song every time!

  • holy shit the mathematical component in this song is beyond me!

  • What a wonderful instrument is the human voice when directed by a master musician

    Aled

  • A wonderful piece of a capella singing. Very well intonated. Beautiful soundcolors. Well balanced. Congratulations! Very very well done. I as a norwegian am little proud that this music is sung and in a fantastic way! Beautiful!

  • you will never believe i started crying in the middle of it. anyway, the words to this song remind me of the french poet charles baudelaire, whose work was mostly about death. I found the Voyage a lot like this.

  • hate these idiots that cough thru performances.... bloody annoying

  • There's a Nystedt fanpage on Facebook now.

  • sehr gut!!

  • OMG that's heavenly...

  • I remember wen we had to sing this wit the national choir in the cathedral honestly one of the best moments in my life during choir

  • Well sung. Thank you. That was beautiful.

  • awesome. i heard the version of knut nystedt the first time this sunday in our church, if you hear it live it's even more beautiful than on audio track, but nevertheless... respect! :-)

    5*

  • There was a choir version of "Komm susser tod" on youtube. But it has been removed. Does anyone has it on mp3 or something else? It sounds like the Knut Nystedt performance. Or has anyone this version on a good quality mp3?

  • AWESOME!

  • Genial.

  • Favoloso incredibile Bravissimi!!!!!!!!

  • Breathtaking masterpiece!

  • Fabulous. An inspiring performance of an extraordinary piece. Well done!

  • This piece of music is simply breathtaking. I stand in awe of it.

By the way...Hooray for the low Eb!

  • @ julorg:

I think the conducting is obvious. He beats a quadruple meter (4/4) all the time, as Nystedt intended one beat per second, and every group has to count itself - easy for the groups that remain 4, 8 and 12 seconds (1, 2 or 3 full bars), kind of difficult for the 6 and 10 seconds-groups. The 6 seconds can be divided into two triple meters, so you have to feel a triple meter pulse to make it easier.

I never sang the 10 seconds group so I don't have advice for that. Just count! ;-)

  • I can't really understand the confusion. Isn't it helpful to give the cunducting a 4 beat structure? Undoubtfully, it makes it a lot more easier for the "4"-, "8"- and "12"- groups. The 6- and 10- groups at least know to proceed alternating on a 1 and 3 beat. And if you prefer to count every beat the conducting doesn't prevent you from that.

  • @theshow2k weirdly that made complete sense hahaha

  • wahnsinn

  • i love the sound and the formation

  • my chior sings this too.... but we sing it 2x faster

  • I find this piece to be most beautiful when it is as slow as possible. Versions of 2 minutes just don't do the piece justice.

  • Nystedt himself intended one beat per second. I think I remember that from the notes that were attached to my version of the score (I don't have it at hand right now to approve that). There's also a sketch which shows the right position for the choir groups and some other indications.

  • I couldn't sing under his direction, I don't understand it at all.

This piece is extraordinary ! My choir did it last month, it was very much appreciated.

  • this is nothing short of brilliant,

they sound like a host of angels

  • This song is a bitch.

I personally like when a men's chorus sings it. But this is really good!

  • genius!
