FSX how to install texture repaints

@kikpik1 for vista-which i just bought-you have to drag the aircraft cfg OUT of the planes folder and then add the doucemntation the PUT IT BACK! first save of course, u need admin privilages-note make sure its for the right aircraft 2. if u try to repaint the defualt B737 with a POSKY 737 it wont work!

I did everything correctly but it didn't work, my computer is vista.

for vista i found out what u have to do. take out the cfg form the plane folder (as u desire) put the text in and then save it then put it back in.

I did that already and it still doesn't have the plane in the game.

do u want textures or a acutallly model of a plane. if u want to install lets say a 757 you need the plane first and then the texture for it like fedex or ryanair. but if u want to install a repaint to a defualt fsx or fs2004 aircraft and your sure its compatible with that plane and it doesn t work then you have installed something wrong.

Holy crap i have windows xp but what about the 3 spaces?

you have to make three spaces so the copied read me file can fit there. you can add much spaces as you want but i suggest there spaces and put it in the middle and paste. After that do what else the video says to do

this is frustrating im using windows vista and it keeps saying this :

cannot create the C:\Program Files\ Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ Sim Objects\ Airplanes\ B747-400\ aircraft.cfg file.

make sure the path and File name a re correct

hey i founf out how to install texture on vista

u have to take out the aircraft.cfg and then save it then put it back in. I know now becuase i just got a new computer and i have to have new textures to ya

go to your control panel, click on "User Accounts And Family Safety", then click on "User Accounts", then click on "Turn User Account Control on or off". Unclick the check-mark and restart your computer

Unzip the files into FSX/SIMOBJECTS/AIRPLANES

also the "README" is meant to be read!!!
