@DandelionVolta Dice 'ayachuco'. Las líricas de Cedric y Omar tienen palabras ficticias en varias ocasiones. Además, que desde cuándo al hablar dices Ayacucho con la 'ch' antes de la 'o'? escucha.
To the Poster: The defacto reference is merely coincidental. De Facto was a project symbolizing their break away from post hardcore and transition into psychadelic. Defacto within the context of this songs is non related. Cicatraz/Cicatrix also; "i've defected." Fuck off.
I might have another interpretation of ayachuco. I'm from El Paso, where ATDI is originally from. We have a slang word that we use for our city "El Chuco." "Aya" in spanish means "other there." So he might just be saying in spanish "Over there El Paso" just throwing it out there :)
This song is about the Cenepa War between Peru and Ecudor. Alberto Fujimora - a Peruvian of Japanese descent - was President giving the song it's Japanese title. According the International Committee of the Red Cross some 60,000 landmines were laid in the Rio Cenepa area.
This isn't necessarily a reference specifically to De Facto, thought the term is used. I believe is it's a reference to the samuri film genre of which Cedric and Omar are massive fans of, especially Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samuri.
The battle of Ayacucho, taking place on the 9th of December, 1824, was a victory for the Republic of Peru during the Peruvian War of Independence which essentially ensured Peru's independence from Spain after slaughtering/routing the Spanish Royalist army. Probably refers to that.
My band will cover this song.. to tribute them. Arguably the best band ever. And we will not let them down. Keep checkin in! I want ATDI Fans to check it out when its posted.
@ElHajjMalikElShabbaz at last someone knows.its a mine that jumps up in the air after stepped upon, spreads metal all around.its italian version of yugoslavian mine called"PROM".
@Vladslash my obssession with the way of the samurai and Japanese culture knows no bounds....hence, you are half right... the word means "sword-fighting" from the samurai art of kenjutsu...and the Japs used the word to describe martial arts movies as well.....and the word is also used for the modern version of goshindo..now called sports chanbara..similiar to that of Kendo from a "sporting" perspective. chanbara can be used to describe anything involving swords...
Coachella sold out! :S

@Pire002 Si dice Ayachuco porque Cedric habla para la mierda a veces... por eso tiene vergüenza de hacer entrevistas en español.

fuck. i forgot to say "aya chuco!" kinda sounds like a spanish war cry.
cuz i know he spanish but he aint american.
mongoose100989 2 years ago
the spanish i get cuz the spanish conquered aya chuco and this guys roots are spanish.
but the city was there way before the dutch spanish french or english ever landed.
The song kinda seems like its also referencing a lot of world war 2 or something.
mongoose100989 2 years ago
thumbs up.
Hm, italian, french, and references to a peruvian city all in one song?
Is this song about some kinda spanish-french war in the americas or soemthing?

@ElHajjMalikElShabbaz chanbara is not a martial art, is a term like "bang-bang", used for sword fighting movies and books
