Dave still has it! Saw these guys play Lee's Palace last night, unbelievable set! Opening band RUDEBOY rocked the house as well......glad I went to the show!

I was there right against the gate at the front general admission was awesome!!I still have my police shirt and ticket with the concert poster..I miss those days ;)

I saw The Beat open for the Talking Heads at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. One of the best shows ever!

I wish they'd stop calling them "English Beat" They are simply The Beat. Paul Collins Beat were dire by comparison!

saw dave and roger (as general public) at the acoustic live 105 christmas show in '93 (SF Event Center). I was sporting my "beat-girl" T-shirt when roger walked right up to me and said "hello, nice shirt." I was quite honored (and a bit drunk)as I offered him a sip of my long island iced tea. He respectfully declined ... lol

It was the most packed I had ever seen it at Lee's, and it was a furnace with everyone jumping around! It's why the footage is so shaky - the whole place was moving...

They'll come again, and they are totally amazing live - I'll be there for sure.
