its pathetic that we invent something plastic, that we use once such as a coffee stir stick, then throw away, plastic does not rot or decompose, so that crap on the island is going to be there forever. the chicks were 50% full of plastic when found dead....in 1996, the amount of plastic dumped since, and each year since then had grown exponentially, way to go humans! we come we saw and we destroyed... : (

what shoud i say ?.....what a shame! but it's still nothing close to what we should do for the planet we should care, love and share with the other spiecies.For the fact that this planet doesn't belong to humans and that we will dissapear sooner than we should as humans.Very, very soon we will be eating our own garbage to survive and death will be our relief just because we insist the belief that all the universe belong to us.
